EQUIPMENT ORIENTATION ♔ SATURDAY AFTERNOON
WHO || Gregor Hughes, any and all Knights who haven't attended an equipment orientation yet :DFirst of all, in his invitation to this orientation, Sir Hughes didn't offer any clues as to the location of the Dragon's Hoard Lab, so you're all on your own in finding it. A 13+ Navigate or even a 11+ Gather Information check will send you in the right direction, however, as it's actually pretty simple to locate. However, as the squires begin gathering, itt's starting to look as if Sir Hughes... forgot. When he does finally shows up, twenty minutes later, he's coming down the hall in a pair of sweat pants and a white stained shirt. He mumbles an apology as he pats his pockets down to try and locate his card, before finally discovering it was tucked behind his ear with an "Aha!" He fumbles it through the reader, and the doors labelled "Biohazard" slide open.
WHAT || Equipment Briefing
WHERE || Knights Headquarters, the Dragon's Hoard Laboratory
WHEN || Saturday, March 9th, 3:20pm
HOW || Actionspam; don't feel obligated to tag all threads! Just whichever ones you want to play out your char's reactions to / questions
He guides them through the bizarre multi-storied library and up the steps, beyond the models suspended from the ceiling that look like space age designs for jet planes, cars, boats, and any number of other things. At the end of the balcony he swipes his card through the reader with a much higher degree of ease and then ushers them all inside.
"Yeah, step right up, let's go," he mutters, making hurrying motions,
"This is the lab, where the Hoard does their research, most of you will never have to come in here, and probably for the best, at that" he says, waving a hand vaguely in that direction as he heads for the left hand side of the room. He places his palm on a panel there until the red light blinks green, and then moves into the narrower space there - a long room with rows of labelled cases and cabinets with transparent glass revealing what's inside.
Waiting for Zero to show up...

Does the 15 minutes late rule apply here?
[She's sprawled on the ground next to the door, doodling on her jeans, because she is already bored and she could be doing anything else right now.]
Credit Cards
[He picks up one of them: Violet's, and squeezes it so that he can peer inside] Oh, right! [He drops that again and looks across the spread, indicating they should grab theirs] Credit cards, for mission expenses. Anything you need, just slap this baby down. They'll accept 'em almost anywhere. [Each card is silver, with this logo branded on it, and the words KARTHUR INSTITUTE across the top]

What if we want to get into the lab?
[ Because she really, really wants to get into the lab. ]

[ snort ] Good luck with that, though.

[ Amrita can sort of relate. She tries to be patient with beginners and remember that she used to be one herself but... it's hard. ]

Excalibur Brand Pistol
If you've used a gun before, though, just show 'em you know what you're doin' and you'll be clear to do what you want. Might not even want a gun, but no one's gonna hold one to your head and make you take it out that door.
[Inside the case is a weapon that looks something like this, except that it also has the Knight's symbol of a dragon on the handle, and the words EXCALIBUR across the barrel. Below it are located several 17 shot magazines and a silencer]

Good news is if you've trained before, shouldn't take more than a few to get your clearance.

Gadgetry
[He looks across your faces, before deciding he can't tell by looking at any of you. YOU ALL LOOK THE SAME TO HIM.] Here, this one's the favorite right now. [He yanks a man's wristwatch out of a case, and hits a button on either side, causing the face to suddenly sprout tiny blades and spin rapidly like a buzzsaw] Plus, it's got lasers.

Ooh! Do you have poison lipstick and a compact that's really a powdered knock out drug? 'cause that would be awesome!

So... do you have... a sword that transforms into a hair clip so I can be both stylish and deadly? Or one ring, perhaps, to rule them all?
no subject
You can get a knife into a hair clip, or jewelry with built in tech functions, but what you're talking about are magical artifacts and we just don't go handing those out to anybody. You'd have to ask the Dragon's Fire about that kinda thing.

Duly noted. What about... [She taps her finger to her lips, thinking.] Well, speaking of James Bond. Is there an Aston Martin hanging around? Or barring that: a garrote wire watch? Maybe a bagpipe flamethrower? Oh! A pen with a grenade in it? That actually writes. The pen, not the grenade.
