The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

So... in theory, I could be from there as well? [Because he sure remembers n o t h i n g and has only been told that he's from the same place as Emma and Gold, but even then, it's not like they are calling it by a name or anything.]

Until recently? We would have just assumed as much. But yes, it's definitely possible.

How did you feel about the level of technology of this world when you arrived? Was it familiar? Difficult to grasp?

Is it strange if I say both? [He always assumed that not knowing what was familiar or not was part of the mystery of the Veil. But some days the simplest things, things that he had been doing for the last six months still felt slightly foreign.]

What about your primary language? Common? Or did you pick that up here?

I didn't have to learn a new language, if that's what you mean?

It is. But it's not really telling one way or another, I suppose. Common seems to exist across a number of universes.

So there's no way to know for sure? [Not when you look like a normal human, at least. Damn these rounded ears and peachy skin.] Does it matter?

Call it an intellectual curiosity.

A curiosity I doubt is ever satisfied with so many lacking answers.

It isn't my favorite aspect of the work, no. But luckily, I'm long lived enough that I do get to see things come to fruition every now and again.

So does everyone live longer around here, or..?

Not everyone. Some species are longer lived than others. Elves, dwarves, that sort of thing.

Aasimars and tieflings can even live for thousands of years, depending on how closely related they are to the god they're descended from.

She's been great. [He's not sure what the woman's problem is with her own sect member, but Charming is going to vouch for her!] Very knowledgeable on a lot of things. [Non descript things because he doesn't really have an example.]
