The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I've spent enough time in Ferelden's Circle of Magi to know a thing or two.

Can you... tell me about them? [ she sounds a little vulnerable as she asks, as if she hates herself for having to rely on someone else for the information, but can't pass up the opportunity to try and find out more about herself ]

It's said that they're actually one of the more powerful branches of magic users. From what I understand, they harness raw energies to throw, or crush their enemies using their mind. A single Force Mage could toss a group of Templars in full armor around as though they weighed nothing, for example.

Their numbers were few within Ferelden's Circle. I've heard rumors that they had much greater numbers in surrounding territories, but then that doesn't exactly matter here, does it?

Did. [ a frown forms on her features and she pulls out of the medical room slowly ] I don't suppose you have any clue how they did it.

Tapping into the Fade, I'd imagine. Though how they manage that, I have no clue.

The Fade? Is that what they call the Force?

It very well may be.

[He doesn't know enough about this Force of hers yet tbh.]

They say the Fade is all around us, though only mages are able to tap into it.

[And it's kind of a place you can travel too, which probably doesn't line up with her version. But hey, golden doors to distract them.]

This one looks promising.

[Yeah, that's pretty impressive. Not to say that every room in the castle hasn't been impressive in some way, but this room was particularly exceptional.]

I wonder whether or not it gets much use. It would seem sort of a waste otherwise.

I haven't seen a lot of adverts for major musicals starring the Knights since I got here.

A shame, really. I can think of a few of them I'd pay good money to see perform.

[And this is just from the glimpses he's gotten of most of them, since he hasn't met very many people just yet. It's likely this sentiment will only grow once he actually does have the opportunity to interact with them.]

Wynn seems like the kind of guy given to extravagant spending for a show every hundred years or two.

Or maybe it came pre-installed in the mysterious castle package.
