briefing ♔ i'm getting close to the heart of it

WHO || Wynn, David, Charming, Emma, Gold, Hook, Francesca, Risa and a special guest [Closed]
WHAT || Devil's Triangle Mission Briefing
WHERE || Knights HQ, the Round Table room
WHEN || Thur, April 4th, shortly before 5pm.
HOW || Actionspam. Single thread, don't worry about maintaining tagging order.
Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.
Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. Risa is already there, and sitting on the left hand side of the table. There's no sign of Wynn yet.

He won't verbally comment on that but it's written all over his face. He also doesn't bat an eyelash at Francesca. Elves. Awesome. At least it's something he's familiar with.]
Have you -- [referring to the friendly twosome, Emma and Charming] -- worked together before?

[ no really, they're all on their own sides except charming and emma are actually team charming and that's all. she looks like she's fighting back a derisive snort over the notion. ]
But, we're all from the same land, Pre-Veil. ... Give or take. [ she glances sidelong at hook without meaning to. same land, yes, but very different circumstances. not that charming or gold remembered as much. ]

strutting into the room behind him comes a raven-haired woman, dressed exactly as pictured, in what looks like a sexy magician's outfit, complete with little white bow tie, and scandalous fishnets over tall black boots. she scans the room with blue-gray heavily-lined eyes, lips twisting into a slight smile, as she comments to wynn: ] Place never changes, does it?

Oh hey, a chick in fishnets.
...No, he is actually completely unimpressed by her legs. BETRAYED LOOKS IT IS, WYNN.]

wants to know more about her eyelinergives her an easy smirk, not even trying to hide his interest.]Well, hello, love. What a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

Introduce us to who, your magician's assistant? I thought we were here for a mission briefing, not a magic show.

But for now, maybe business first. I'll pull all the rabbits out of all the hats you want later.

She's come to us with a personal request, that I believe it would be wise to lend her aid with.

As touching as that is, dear, I wasn't aware tender family reunions fell under our jurisdiction.

Let her explain.
[ she has has a soft spot for cripples, bastards and broken things, ok. or just ... family reunions. probably just that one. ]

[ she takes a deep breath, eyes flicking up towards wynn, and then over the others. ] Until now.
She's been... calling to me. Urgently, magically, trying to get a message across. I know that it's her, and I know...
She's in danger.

[Oh look- someone woke up from his staring at her leggy frame long enough to get the gist of what is going on. He's not questioning if they can help, but asking for guidance to get the job done- because they have to. There isn't an option in his mind that involves not helping this young woman. It's strange how the familial aspect rings deep within him. His gaze darts immediately to Emma.
Okay, so it's not really similar, but it's a parent/child thing and he is having some feelings. His tone is sincere, concerned, compassionate. ]
