[ A deal's a deal. Rafael brings Jade back to New Orleans with him, where he very reluctantly drops her off at Des' hotel. When he opens his door, she's leaning against the jam with a tiny bag in hand: no more than a purse. She smiles at him, jerking a thumb over her shoulder. ]

He didn't want to come in.

In his defense... [ she slips through, looking around and turning in a slow circle, ending up facing him again ] he did just take quite a few bullets. Probably shouldn't over-exert himself.

[ des is on delivery duty tonight, tasked with driving a truck to a specific address outside new orleans, and making sure everything gets there safely. the key to the truck is left in his P.O. box, and when he reaches the parking lot where he's instructed to go, the truck is parked and ready. ]

[Des retrieves the key and stares at the truck like it's offended him on some deep level.]

What? I couldn't use my car? Sonuva- [And he huffily gets into the truck and starts driving. AW YEAH.]

[ it's getting pretty damn late by the time he pulls up to the large, square building with a sort of Egyptian flair. It sports large columns out front, and the head of a carved snake hangs ominously over them. He has to drive around a serene pool to park.

after only a few moments, a bald man in a suit comes out and makes his way down the white steps, motioning for des to roll down the window. he looks between des' face and a photo on his clipboard, with strange yellow eyes, and appears satisfied. ] You can drive it straight through the gatesss. [ he motions to the left of the building. ] There'sss a back door there. You will help unload and leave. No questionsss.

[Des grins smugly, mimes zipping his lip, putting the key into a little sack, and tossing it over his shoulder, before rolling the window back up and driving to the place he needs to be.]

[ the gates slide open with no one visibly operating them, and it's no difficult task to find the back door indicated. 'back door' is kind of a loose term, however, as the angle indicates they're more of a cellar entrance of some kind. the doors swing up as he approaches and several burly men get out to assist. ]

Hey, boys. [Des climbs out of the truck and beams like he's known these guys for years and they're his closest friends.] How's tricks?
