[ A deal's a deal. Rafael brings Jade back to New Orleans with him, where he very reluctantly drops her off at Des' hotel. When he opens his door, she's leaning against the jam with a tiny bag in hand: no more than a purse. She smiles at him, jerking a thumb over her shoulder. ]

He didn't want to come in.

Obvious answer. [He waves a hand, but his stalling hasn't gotten him anywhere. The Mind Master hasn't come out. He does give a surreptitious glance over the goon's shoulder (spot 16), but that's all he can manage subtly before he's forced to back away and head back to the car.]

[ he does see a pair of what look like priests, in long white vestments, rushing towards one another in a hall and communicating frantically, with frenzied hand motions. they both turn and scurry off in the direction the mind master disappeared. ]
