The date of the dual concerts is fast approaching. While his teammates have been involved on intermittent missions striking at other laboratories like the one they discovered under NOVA, Finnick has been honing his pop star cover and working non-stop on an album and publicity. Elena and Myri have spent considerable time around NOVA as well, posing as part of Finnick and Rafael's entourages to keep an eye on activity from Chad and company.

For all intents and purposes, however, they've evinced little sinister behavior at all. Observing the artists merely seems to reveal singers preparing for a tour, and Chad spends little time in the office. When they do see him, however, he is always accompanied by the Mind Master. If it weren't for the drama lurking behind the scenes as the power struggle between the Becksworth brothers draws to a head, it would almost seem peaceful.

[Elena crosses the room to collect the papers, trying to smooth out the stain that the bottom of the bottle left with her palm while looking over her shoulder to keep an eyes on Keijen and Myri.]

[ he turns back to her, reaching out to slowly spin an empty bottle lazily with one hand ]

[Myri's will save of 14 apparently does not keep her immune to his charms :c Her expression glazes over slightly and she starts to move in time with the music.]

It's... beautiful. [The awe in her voice is completely genuine.] So haunting.

[ he casts an amused look at myri, pushing up to his feet suddenly with that strange fluidity of movement, although the way he reaches out to steady himself against the board makes it clear that all that alcohol has been getting to him. ]

[Elena gets lucky and for once rolls really well in the clutch. A 24 will save has her looking over at Myri as she speaks, attempting not to look obviously worried. Maybe she's just acting really well.]

[She says as she makes her way back over to Myri, holding the papers up. Because either way, she doesn't like where this is going.]

[Myri doesn't even seem to know that the papers or Elena exist.]

[ blade looks pleased with the pronouncement, and steps towards myri, moving past her in a tight, slow circle, so as to wind up behind her. she's compelled to keep her eyes on him, to turn and follow his movements, her body acting as if it has a will entirely of its own. ] You should come to my concert in Florida. It's bound to be the better show.

She doesn't want to go to Florida.

[Okay, that is so creepy what is your deal dude.

Elena's just going to walk a little faster and try to force herself between the line of sight between the two of them while grabbing for Myri's hand, trying to get her attention.]

We need to go. Finnick is waiting for us.

Maybe you should let her make her own decisions. [ but she does get an extra will save now b/c hearing finnick's name has that mushy feelings effect that might be able to clear her head a little... maybe... ]

[MUST BE TRUE LOVE because Myri gets a bad ass second will save of 25. She blinks, confusion clouding her features as she pulls her gaze to Elena.]

Finnick. Right. Yes... we have to go.

[narcosynthesis]

[ as they turn to leave, he speaks up, slightly louder to halt them with his voice: ] It's ironic, you know, looking to her as your salvation. [ he begins to laugh, quietly, but uncontrollably, and it becomes even clearer that he's definitely drunk. ] The girl who sold her soul to the devil.

[Elena's brow furrows, assuming that he's just being crazy. Also, wasted.]

What are you even talking about? [A beat.] You know what, I don't even want to know. You're crazy.

[narcosynthesis]

[ he leans back against the soundboard and drawls: ] Eterna Jade. That's what.

[witchwoman]

[As her minds clears, that name cuts through the fog, clear as a bell. Myri's gaze snaps back to the man.]

What did you say?

[narcosynthesis]

[ he seems immensely pleased with the reaction, leaning back on his elbow with that chesire grin ]

Eterna.

[Well, so much for acting dumb. Was their cover blown? How much does he know?

Elena looks over at Myri, her expression worried.]

[witchwoman]

[She could lie... or try to anyway. She could just call him a drunk and leave, but if someone is fully aware of who they are and what they want, she feels like they need to find out exactly what he knows.]

Is she a friend of yours? [Does he know Jade? Know of her? Is there a history there? She positions herself so that she's standing slightly in front of Elena, instinctively trying to put herself between the two of him.] What do you mean she sold her soul?

[narcosynthesis]

We all sell our souls eventually, don't we? For love, money, power. [ he glides forward suddenly, his sudden movements surprising with his level of intoxication, as he stops quickly within myri's personal bubble. ] What about you girls? Where does your price lay?

We're not for sale.

[She says it firmly as she steps to stand closer to Myri, putting a hand on her shoulder as she meets his gaze. (Intimidate 20 total).]

And that doesn't answer her question.

[narcosynthesis]

[ he just turns a completely unconcerned gaze on her, which seems all the more unsettling. her threats seem to mean absolutely zip to him. ]

You should let her answer for herself, you know.

[ he moves past them both again, picking up another bottle, this one unopened. ] We go back, Jade and I.

In fact, I've always been a little jealous I must admit. She has such a ... talent. Better than even me.

[witchwoman]

[Jade's always been at the center of this, hasn't she? She's the one this group wanted but couldn't have. But her connections to them other than that? Myri couldn't recall hearing anything about it.]

I saw her in a club once. [Not a lie, but not really the truth.] What do you mean you go back? [She presses the question again, stepping closer to him. Fears be damned, she needed to know more.]

[narcosynthesis]

I mean what I said. [ he leans even closer when she closes the gap so that she can smell the alcohol on his breath. ] We have history.

But I'm more interested in the future.

[Elena wrinkles her nose. Gross.]

So what, you guys used to date or something? Did she break your heart?

[Gosh, Elena, stop goading the creeper.]

[At the sound of his voice, Myri turns her head. She doesn't know how to explain everything or if Keijen only knows about her and Elena's connection to Jade??? There really wasn't much resolution in that conversation...]

We were just... getting to know some of the other talent.

[Her bluff of 15 is complicated in that she's trying to make it sound like she wants her lie to be convincing to Finnick. The bluff is for Keijen, though, because why lie to her team??? But she doesn't want to give up that they're all connected if he doesn't already know.]
