after-party ♔ may

♬ Jeux d'eau - Ravel
WHO || Wynn, any and all Knights not currently on missions (brazil & nevada groups will be returned! if you are uncertain if your character would be at the castle for this, ask!)ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.
WHAT || Squiring Ceremony Afterparty
WHERE || Knights Headquarters, the Ballroom
WHEN || May 1st, 2013, 6:00PM
HOW || Prose OR Actionspam
The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).
The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.
Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.
Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

[ There is genuine gratitude in her smile. Sometimes it's a good thing that he doesn't seem to know how not to forgive someone. ]

We will have to save him some scraps of party food.
[Yes, he is still saying we. Even if they aren't traveling anymore, for the moment. He's gotten used to it.]
no subject
We should, though I wouldn't know where to stow it away in this dress. Nibbles in my cleavage just doesn't paint that attractive a picture.

[His smile is back again. It never seems to fade for too long around her.]
We can wrap them up in napkins.

[ It's a little chilling to realize that the title is more than a tease.
Ruvaen a knight. How is he supposed to fight anything when all he ever wants to do is love and forgive people? How is he not going to get very dead very soon?
And why did she let herself get dragged into it right along with him?
But she keeps her smile in place because Ruvaen being an idiot is definitely not her problem, and she's going to be just fine. If things get too rough, she'll just leave. Not like they can force her to stay. ]
He'll start liking you more than me one of these days. He seems pretty keen on following the light of Pelor.
[ If the hawk's fondness for nibbling on Ruvaen's book is anything to go by. ]

He really was not that worried. It was that trusting thing again.]
I am afraid I will no sooner convert that hawk then I manage to convert you.
[The way he says it is almost a little sorrowful, but it has never been his way to force others into his beliefs and he is well aware that Kyla does not share his views.]
no subject
Just.
Let that sink in. ]
Animals can be a lot easier to convince than people sometimes. They don't fuck around.

Well, when he chooses to see the light, rather than eat it, perhaps I will enlist his help in turning your head.

His choice of words make her laugh, since it's been made very clear indeed that he's not interested in her definition of that phrase. ]
If you get him in on it you might actually stand a chance. He's more my type than you.

[He smiles when he says it, amused by the implication of her listening to a bird whose language neither of them had hope of understanding more than she did his words. but he's looking around the after party rather than directly at her now.]
At the very least, there is free food and drink for you to enjoy. You can not be having that terrible of a time, so far.

[ By which she means getting drunk and naked. It's been a long day full of far more virtue than she's comfortable with, time to get back to what she's good at. ]
