The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Um, thanks. [Awkward central.] I don't have a lot of experience with...parties. At least, I don't think so.

Experience can only be gained one way, and that's by experiencing. You won't do much of that if you hug a wall all night.

That's a good question that I don't really have an answer for.

[ And if this little wisp ever eats. Unless she's just... really skinny? Kyla can't help that she wonders, she remembers being about that shape once upon a time, and for her it hadn't been a good sign. ]

At least she dislikes alcohol, so she's not drinking on an empty stomach.]

She also just assumes that what's she asking, not about how she came to join the Knights. (Partially because I don't know yet lol)]

Oh? [Her interest perks.] How much do you remember? About where you came from?

Not much at all, to be honest. I seem to have most of my skills intact, and I recall a few scattered things about my life, but not many specifics.

[ She doesn't sound too bothered by it, perhaps because what she does remember doesn't really seem like much to miss anyway. ]

You had an experience similar to mine, then.

[She seems more bothered. It's hard to remember nearly everything about her profession, and yet nothing about anyone that might have been important to her. Or had she simply been alone for the most part?]

It bothers you.

[ It's not really a question, and not a judgment either. Why wouldn't it bother you to not remember your own life? Not everyone can just shake things off and keep moving. Not everyone wants to. For some, the past is precious. ]
