The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[She doesn't hesitate. In her time with the Knights, Myri has come to feel like the place is home- and even if she has never met the man offering her the chance to dance, she knows that she can trust him. Because by accepting Wynn's offer, by swearing his life and loyalty to this organization, this make him family.

Her hand slips into his and a smile lights up her face.]

Of course. [She moves fluidly, and her moves are pretty nice (dex 18). Apparently she's been picking up on some sweet moves at NOVA.]

[Now here is a lady who knows how to dance. A bright grin on his lips, he catches her hand the right way to lift it up over her head and encourage a spin because what dance with a stunning young woman is complete without one?]

You are going to put me to shame, moves like that. Where did you learn to dance?

[Myri follows his lead, spinning quickly and letting the skirt of her dress flare out slightly. She laughs as she returns to face him and continues to move.]

New Orleans, mostly. I've been on mission undercover with a recording company. With so much music around, you can't help but dance from time to time.

I didn't realize they did things like that here.

[Maybe they could put some of his talents to work, after all.]

New Orleans? Well. At least it sounds like you're finding some time to have fun with it.

Oh, yes- Missions of all sorts, from what I hear. I've been on the same one for the greater part of the year. I don't think they all last as long as this one...

That sounds like it's pretty intensive. Do you spend all your time way out there, or do you move back and forth a lot?

We were away for some time, but now it's a bit more back and forth. I think it depends on the sort of mission.

I like to travel, so that's not a problem for me. It's the sitting still I might need time to get used to.
