The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Leave it to Snow to make an entrance.. (cha 20) Really, getting dolled up comes naturally to her...what with the fact that royal blood runs through her veins. For now, she whisks a light drink off of a nearby tray, sipping it slowly. There are a lot more attendees than she had anticipated.]

[ Well, how can one's attention not be caught when such a vision appears?

Kyla is nowhere near having that sort of impact, but it doesn't really bother her since she is supremely confident in her ability to make up for it with words.

Hence she walks up to Snow with zero hesitation and a big smile. ]

Good evening, my lady. Or should I say sir now, perhaps?

Good evening. It's a pleasure to meet you. [Snow offers a bright, but modest smile before a soft chuckle escapes her.]

I suppose so. And I see that you are newly knighted as well. Although... you are far to lovely to be referred to as 'sir'. [She gestures to Kyla's "presentable" ensemble, personally thinking that she pulls it off stunningly.]

I suppose that the title is just something that comes with our knighthood.

[ Oh, such a sweetheart. Kyla smiles brightly and shrugs a little. ]

You are ever so kind to say so, but I've never been much of a lady either so sir is about as fitting as anything else.

[All these drop dead gorgeous women at this party. Alec doesn't know if he really joined the Knights or some other secret society, but either way, hello ladies. It's a good thing no one is asking him who the fairest one of all is, because he would never have an answer, and if he did he would never say it.

Women could get scary competitive over looks.]

I am feeling more and more under-dressed with each passing moment. Hey. I'm Alec. Nice to meet you, how are you, and all that formal greeting thing everyone is doing all night.

Can I just say you look really nice in that dress?

Hello, Alec. I'm Snow. [She nods, a grin appearing on her face. His banter is rather charming, but for the most part, she can identify a ladies man when she sees one.]

He always takes compliments so well. He shrugs his shoulders a bit as if he doesn't think much of his own look, but he does. He very much does.]

Afraid I can't claim much credit. They're the ones who brought the suit, I'm just wearing it.

[And enjoying it. Rare he gets to wear such expensive tastes.]

[ jaina doesn't remember her mother, so she's not sure what is about the woman that seems so familiar, but there are definite traces of leia in the woman's strong regal bearing, and ability to pull off ridiculous wardrobe choices that makes her feel a bizarre pang of empty homesickness. ]
