The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Yeah. Wynn is kind of... totally scary, but he can throw together a decent party. You know, it's not the same as a night of drunken bacchanalian debauchery, but it's still pretty good.

[She gives her hair a toss, nonchalant, like she's well versed in this. But it's a farce, and one she's not even trying very hard at if her smile is any indication.] it's your party though, are you enjoying it?

Well. It's definitely... high class.

[He laughs as he says it and shrugs a little, smiling at her all the way to his eyes. He gives the room a glance and lowers his voice a little.]

I'll be honest, a night of drunken bacchanalian debauchery would probably be more where I would fit in. At least, I imagine the music would be a little more on the up beat.

I dunno, I think Bacchus was totally into the lyre? That's not really an upbeat thing. [She frowns thoughtfully, considering.] Although, I guess nowadays, that crap would be the equivilent of, like, techno.

Oh my god, I just had the hilarious image in my head of Wynn listening to techno. [And cue giggles.]

[Later he'll find time to be embarrassed by the snort of a laugh he just made.]

Ahahah now I can't get the image out of my head. Someone needs to get him some techno, stat.

I would pay to see that. Well, since all my money is from here... Wynn would pay to see himself rocking out to techno. With those glow stick things.

My life would actually be complete.

I wouldn't mind chipping in to see something like that. I can already imagine the jaws of every single person around dropping to the floor.

I would like to think that if Wynn knew what we were talking about he would be totally down.

[Of course there isn't much Vi won't do for a ten dollar bet, so maybe she's giving the boss more credit, but...]

I am just a lowly squire like you, so I basically do whatever they tell me to.

I have to say, I'm liking quite a few of my coworkers.

Yeah. [She looks around, looking agreeable.] Almost everyone I've met is nice people. Well. Sir Lanston is kind of a douchefaucet, but I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he still means well.

[Seriously, other than that she's just surrounded by nice people.]
