The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

A few months. [She says, because she honestly hasn't really kept track.] Long enough to know my way around. [but not quite long enough to get her shit straight to get promoted toa full Knight. It's her own damn fault, really.]

How is it? Like, really. [ She sips from her glass, eying the other girl. ] I know what they say, but.

[She shrugs while sipping on her drink.] It's not that bad. [This is actually a stellar review compared to some of her others.] You have to learn who is actually worth talking to, but... once you've got that, the rest is a breeze.

And who would that be? [ If she can cut any corners in getting a hold on this place, why not? Though maybe she should be taking things with a grain of salt. ] In your honest opinion.

For starters, there's me. [She flashes a dangerous smile.] As far as beyond that... [She turns more fully towards the girl.] Depends. What's in it for me?

[ She purses her lips, eying the other girl. Really, already? Why not, she's in a castle, might as well have some cloak and dagger stuff. ]

What are you asking for?

A favor. [She says, gesturing with one hand.] In exchange for my help, you'll owe me a favor.

Do we have a deal?

[ A favor. What's the harm in agreeing to a favor? Oh Dawn you sweet summer child. ]

Deal. One favor in exchange for helping me get my bearings.

[it's not her fault. she was born with the name Faye smiles sweetly, but there's something dangerous lingering in her eyes.]

Good. [She turns and stands shoulder to shoulder with the girl, scanning the crowd.] A lot of the older Knights are lame, boring, or both. I don't think he's here, but if you have a chance to talk to Thomas, do it. He's one of the ones actually worth talking to. Oh and Dumage, but she'd probably eat you alive. Gold's okay, but too cryptic and likes the sound of his voice way too much. The pirate's good in bed, but so not worth the drama.

[Yeah, she's going to nitpick most of the characters, and I am not writing that all out. Except one more...]

Oh... and one more thing. There's a squire named Rose. She's a bitch. That's really all you need to know.

Okay, so avoid the older Knights and Rose. And the pirate? Except for sex. [ There's a faint wrinkle of her nose, like sex is the last thing on her mind. ] I take it you and Rose had some sort of awkward run-in thing.
