The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I don't like to stand still when I can help it. Get's awful dull.

[The Drow is a pretty unfamiliar sight for Alec and he definitely spends a good few moments looking him over.]

[Alec is grinning again and he gives a shrug, taking a pause to grab another glass off a passing try. More alcohol, more better.]

[ he looks surprised - and amused - at the suggestion ] No offense, but I prefer to save my best moves for when I've a lovely lady on my arm.

That's a shame. It's a lot of fun.

[He grins and shrugs, coming to a stop for a few minutes.]

[Given the slight formality of this party, even with so many already claiming he could drop the formalities he sticks with it for first interactions until someone corrects him.]

Sir Cabot. Sure you don't want a dance?

[He gives a playful grin and a shrug]

I promise not to step on your toes.

[cabot]

[ he can make a diplomacy check to try to change his mind, but he sure looks dead-set on ... never doing that ever. ]

But then I won't be able to enjoy the spectacle.

Oh, come on. The spectacle is always more fun from within than it is on the sidelines.

[He's not trying hard enough for a diplomacy check, which is probably a shame, wasting that +4]

But, you know, to each their own corner. Some like to do.

[He raises an eyebrow at Val'drin and this is so not the route he should be taking this conversation why does no one ever stop him.]

And some like to watch.

No offense, but I can think of some shows I quite prefer.
