The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

No harm done. We both seem to be in one piece. [She gives him a warm smile.] You're one of the new squires, aren't you? My name is Myrilandel. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Myrilandel. A pleasure to meet you, as well. My name is Ruvaen.

[His smile is just as warm and he lets go of her arm to slip his hands into his pockets, looking around the room.]

I am, and I was searching for another, but I am certain given time she will find me, first. How are you, tonight?

I'm well. And happy to see so many new faces. We seem to get more squires each month, from the looks of it. [And she's glad for each of them that have arrived. Myri considers the Knights to be like her family. And to add to that group is something worth celebrating.]

Who have they squired you to, Ruvaen?

It is an honor to have been invited to join the Knights. I feel very lucky to be here. I do believe there was mention of a Sir. Solace at an earlier point in time, though I have not met with him yet.

[She seems like a very kind lady to him, he is used to trusting his instincts on these matters.]

I am sure I will find myself meeting with him soon, but until then I am doing my best to meet whoever I might run into at this party. It seems an excellent opportunity to make new acquaintances, seeing as we will potentially be working together in the future.

[Someone really needs to teach this boy not to be so proper.]

Oh how wonderful. [Myri likes all the members of her sect. Even the grumpy ones.] Perhaps we'll see more of one another, then. Sir Solace is the head of the Dragon's Light, of which I am a member.

I am looking forward to meeting him. And I do hope we do. I am hoping to be here for quite some time.

[Myri certainly seems like a friendly person and Ruvaen is thankful for that, hoping that perhaps the rest of her sect is as kind-hearted as she seems. Or at least reasonable. Not that he worries much, but friends are good to have. Especially in a place like this.]
