The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ANDIE'S GOT THIS SHIT. She darts through the crowd, fast and silent (hide 27) and quickly switches the plugs from whatever musical device is currently playing to Faith's ipod (sleight of hand 20). Then she hits play.]

[ Seeing Wynn's grin makes her remember that first meeting with him she had, and Kyla finds herself smiling as well as she recovers Beau (handle animal 7+4+4+2). The hawk seems willing enough to cooperate with her, which might of course make her earlier portrayal of him as a vicious thing seem rather a lot less credible but hey, they pulled the music switch off! ]

[ wynn's head turns slowly towards the source of the music shift. he looks confused and actually surprised, though there's no trace of anger in his expression. in fact, those near him can see him smirk ever so slightly and shake his head. you crazy kids. ]

[ meanwhile a few of the old, grumpy knights look positively affronted by what's going on. hasmed scowls up at the sound, and solace glares around slowly, searching for the source of the prank. ]

[ Yep, Kyla definitely likes you, Wynn. She notices Solace scanning the room (spot 14+1) and he doesn't seem like he'd be fun to deal with if he determined that she was to blame so she quickly gets rid of her smile in favor of a very sincere-looking air of concern and embarrassment (bluff 18+4+1) as she starts to carry Beau towards an exit. ]

[ faith, in the meantime, grabs andie's hand, and yanks her towards the dance floor, as a few of the younger knights also pick up on the beat and come out laughing and dancing. ]

[Andie lets out an excited squeal and spins around, adding just enough superspeed to make it exciting.] Best mission!
