The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Yeah, but those things make you who you are. Taking them away ... I don't know. It's not fair.

I don't know... [She trails off, mouth twisting in thought.] It still happened, it still made you the person you are, not you specifically, just in the general.

Er. It doesn't really take it away, because you've already been effected, it just... It let's you crawl out from underneath it. And, imagine people with children back home. If they remembered them and couldn't go back? They'd go nuts.

[She takes a deep breath before nodding.]

Yeah, so... I would take not knowing to save someone from that.

[she shrugs.]

I never really had a lot of family to begin with, good or bad, so I'm not sure I like the idea of something being able to take that from me. But I was born here, so I guess I got lucky.

I would rather know, too, but... [But she refuses to dwell in the past -- only because she can't remember it. The past used to be all she dwelled on.] But now I get new things to know, like super cute elves and Felicitys!

This is very true. This world is very awesome for that reason alone.

Right? Just gotta find that silver living thingy. I dunno, a silver cloud, does cloud nine have a silver lining?

I think it'd be pretty lame if it didn't.

Yeah it'd be a half assed sort of cloud nine. Cloud four and a half doesn't do it.

Nope. People who crap out at four and a half clearly aren't trying hard enough.

They don't deserve cloud nine and it's fancy silver lining.

No. They should just take their settling and move on elsewhere.

I love you. [She grins and seems to spot something across the room.] Congrats again, I'm glad you're here, but I gotta go see a guy about a thing. [She leans up to plant a theatrical kiss on her friend's cheek before zooming off to tease Spike. One day she will learn the art of the segue, but it is not this day.]

[That's okay, Felicity will just laugh and let her go, amused by this whole shebang.
