It's been a long time since Team Failboat's been all together, but that doesn't mean the team members have been idle. Rafael & Finnick have been working hard to refine their show and record their albums - and if they don't pull off the show of a century, NOVA records will fall entirely into the hands of the sinister Chad Becksworth and his evil Shadow-hating cabal. In the meantime, Myri & Elena have acted as members of their ensemble to keep an eye on the villains' movement at NOVA's New Orleans Headquarters - but there's been suspiciously little to indicate that they're doing anything but gearing up for their own "Back to the Fans" tour, which will be launching concurrently in Miami on the same night of Raf & Finnick's concert in Chicago. Myri & Kat attempted to interfere with the recruitment of Nadia Reichenov by Keijen Blade and Decker Greenwall, and while Myri seemed to have made some impact on the girl, she still chose to join them, and where her allegiance lies remains unknown. The other members of the team have been intermittently set out on missions to destroy the other labs across America where Chad's scientists have been conducting hideous experiments on Shadowkind, splicing their DNA with that of humans. Gar has been hard at work in the lab, unraveling the mysteries of the mind control chip they'd created. Jack and Thomas have been probing the defenses of Andres Isle, where the Talisman is rumored to have been taken by the sinister Dimitris Sarandis, Prime Minister of the Isle and member of the dark cabal. Meanwhile, Des has been babysitting Jade after her club was destroyed by Chad's forces, so that she can join Rafael and Finnick onstage at the concert.

Now everyone is en route to Chicago, where the impending concert is tied in with the opening of the brand new Chicago skyscraper office of NOVA Records, where Burt is planning to move his end of operations, further symbolizing the growing divide between the feuding brothers. Tensions mount in these last few days as final preparations are made.

Beretta 92-FS series. [ he shrugs as he double checks one of the cartridges ] It would not be my first choice, but I like the shorter recoil.

I guess, sure. When I'm trying to conceal a gun the size of Madonna's fat ass, my primary concern is the recoil. [He laughs, drawing his jacket open to show his pair of Walther PPKs]

Stainless Walther PPK, 0.32 Chambered ACP. Perfect for stealth and stopping power. Also the gun that killed Hitler, can't get much more American than that... But at least you aren't using that standard issue paperweight the knights hand out.

You do know the PPK is a gun of German design, no? [ he looks down at archer's guns, then back up at him challengingly. ]

Germans are horrible, smelly people, but they make one thing great, Mussolini, firearms. And... also ovens, but mostly firearms.

Also these babies don't affect how this $700 suit hangs, while yours stick out like... a thing... that's out of place.

My suit hangs just fine. [ but he does look down at himself, then back in the mirror ] No one will notice a thing.

No, yeah. You mean, apart from the guy casually walking down the hall that did notice them.

I mean, not everyone has my highly trained field agent eyes, but still.

It is too late to procure other guns, so I do not know what you would have me do.

Hey, hey, it's ok... That's why I'm here, alright, to cover for your rookie mistakes.

Maybe next time before one of these missions I'll take you to my tailor and my arms dealer, teach you a thing or two about not sacrificing style for the 'sake of the mission'.

[He claps him on the shoulder, which draws the other side of his jacket open to reveal the sawed-off Remington shotgun he somehow keeps concealed within]

[ one of rafael's eyebrows climbs when he sees the shotgun, and he looks at archer with clear incredulity ] Guys like us. [ he repeats the phrase uncertainly, as if wondering what exactly Archer thinks that entails. ]

Yeah. Guys like us.

[He pokmes his head back in, after walking out the door]
Oh, and don't worry - You'll do great out there... And if you don't... well, then we're all screwed. No pressure.
