It's been a long journey at sea, as the Knights, Zatanna, and her father followed the enchanted compass' guidance from Europe, across the Atlantic Ocean. Risa stands on the bow of the boat, a shawl wrapped around herself as she stares out into the gathering gloom, frowning.

"The Devil's Triangle," she announces, out of nowhere. "That's our destination, isn't it."

[ risa tentatively steps out ] If... if the jewel really was draining her life force so strongly, Zatanna, I don't think she'd ever be strong enough for us to bring back.

[ zatara puts a hand on his daughter's shoulder ] She gave her life that we all might survive. She could not ask for a nobler death. It was her choice, Zatanna.

[Charming just nods to Emma, still a bit shaken up by the whole thing but all in one piece, thankfully.]

I'm fine. Really. [He looks around the beach, then shakes his head.] Your guess is as good as mine. But we're safe and we're together, so that's a start.

[socialgraces]

[ She nods in David's direction, turning to point the way back to the rest of the party. ] We should gather everyone together so we can figure out a way home. [ She looks down instead of in Zatanna's direction. ] The castle would be a better location to make those decisions.

[besmitten]

South America, I think is what you call it now. [ after that odd statement, amara shoulders her way through to behind charming, and then very tentatively reaches out to brush his sleeve ] My-- my staff. May I?

[undealt]

[Gold's basically following Amara like a lost puppy... Or possibly a lost bodyguard. He is very invested in keeping her content.] I think she's more than proven herself trustworthy.

[He gestures to Emma, urging her to follow and leave Charming with his new girlfriend. Hook can come to... He guesses.] And I believe I owe you an explanation, Ms. Swan.

[uncease]

[He turns at the touch, still a little jumpy. Glancing down at the staff, he's not completely certain that he wants to hand it over. But Gold was pretty certain to trust her before... and definitely does now.]

Uh... yeah, sure. Do you think you can get us all out of here?

[uncurse]

South America's a whole continent.

[ someone needed to point it out, ok. emma is happy to gruffly do so. she turns her attention to gold after charming has his weird staff-handover moment with amara. ]

If you've got some light to shed on what the hell just happened, by all means. Shed it.

Given what we've just seen, I'd rather not hurt her feelings. [He points to Amara. So out of earshot at least here, Emma. Grant him this. He starts moving off, figuring she can follow or she can remain unenlightened while she bodyguards her father's dick.]

[Yeah Hook was unconscious. He's not missing anymore exposition so he follows as well, not giving a shit if he's actually welcome or not.]

[ amara reaches out to wrap her hand around the staff's handle, and her eyes trace up the length of charming's arm oh so slowly and coquettishly until they light on his face. ]

Not so soon. It was a very powerful spell, not to be used lightly.

[ and she flashes him a very small, hesitant smile ] I'm Amara, by the way. I'm sure you caught that, but-- it was hardly a proper introduction.

[why did you all leave him to talk to her by himself? He is a poor oblivious target for this weird magical thing and.... Basically you all suck...]

Oh. Right, Amara. [nice to meet you? Glad you aren't trying to kill us?] I'm David. David Charming... Since there's another David. [he gestures over to the grouping with David for her future reference]

[Meanwhile, over with the exposition...]

You'll recall Giovanni Zatara's explanation of how he and his wife met. Sindella was cursed to fall in love with him from the moment she laid eyes on him. In grabbing Amara's staff, David drew her attention to him. And, well... [He gestures to the pair of them a good twenty feet away now.] You can guess what happened next.

[uncurse]

A curse so she fell in love with him? But, it's not - I mean, it's not two-sided, right? David has a wife. Well ... Two, if we're being technical. My mother's in this world somewhere, and we're going to find her. What's Amara going to do when we do?

[undealt]

Well, by that time, we may have found a cure for her affliction. Until the time that occurs, there is nothing we can do. She is in love with him and in love with him she will stay. For now, I'd say it's best we don't incur her wrath. [He points at Charming.] He can let her down gently, if he wishes, once we're back at the castle and she can be contained.

[Except the look on his face is a portrait of HE BETTER NOT.]

[ well let's all congregate together now please. Francesca's slowly trying to lead the rest of the party towards Gold and Emma and she speaks up at Gold's words: ] Right, back at the castle. We will be better suited to make such decisions in a more stable environment.

We just need to find a way to get back. And figure out what to do with all these people.

[uncurse]

What, Wynn doesn't have his own personal fleet of helicopters for evac? [ she's ... probably being sarcastic. probably. she turns her attention back to gold. ] We should get the ones with families back to them.

[besmitten]

David Charming. [ she repeats the name as if she can't believe he's serious, but it's adorable that he is, and it's the most perfect name she's ever heard. 8| ]

You came to our shores... for Zatanna? To find her mother?

[uncease]

Yeah, that's right. We just wanted to help her find her family.

[And he looks around because ... where did everyone go?]

[ don't worry charming, some of us are keeping an eye on you. from a distance, but still.

and to emma:] Right now it's more a question of how to make that happen. [ and no, there is no fleet 8| luckily our drakenet devices have tracking equipment i'm sure so maybe we should phone home now. ]
