Lis'sa meets the squires inside the laboratory, behind its "Biohazard" labelled doors. She doesn't really offer much of a greeting, or even introduce herself - just waits inside the strange multi-storied library section until everyone is gathered, and then instructs them to follow her up the steps.  A great deal of models are suspended from the ceiling that look like space age designs for jet planes, cars, boats, and any number of other things. There are other objects that are much more inexplicable: a giant silver ball, suspended by several rods, for example.

There's another set of doors at the end of the balcony, and she swipes an access card through a reader besides them. They depress with a space age his. revealing a clean white laboratory, with rows and rows of tables and lab equipment set up. Numerous knights buzz around in white lab coats, working under microscopes and on computers, conferring over a number of projects.

"This way," she instructs simply, not sparing the lab a second glance, heading for a door on the left hand side of the room.  She presses a hand against the panel there, and the red light changes to green, unlocking the door for everyone's access.

Beyond is a very long room, with rows of labelled cases and cabinets with transparent glass revealing what's inside.  Lis'sa steps crisply to the other side of the large stainless steel table.

[His eyes scan the table in front of him, his lips thin as he considers. Finally, he reaches out for the wristwatch, holding it delicately in his fingers as he looks for the activation points.]

This one sounds like fun. Where's the button for that nice little saw? [He really didn't feel like accidentally lobbing his fingers off this afternoon.]

You need to depress both points simultaneously. [She gestures to the two buttons on either side, one of which is set into the side like a reset button that requires the edge of a nail to depress]

[He takes the watch from her, then depresses both buttons. As the blades spin out he gives Lis'sa a mischievous smirk on his lips as he glances around as though looking for something to test it out on.]

It would only be practical to see just how powerful these blades are, don't you think?

[She nods at the far wall, which... has some scratches on it already]

[He heads that way, cutting into the wall carefully a few times to gauge the depth and power behind them, with surprising results. He seems pleased as he brings the watch back over to her, stopping the blades at the same time.]

I think I'd like one of these for every mission.

[lissatrinall]

[She watches him make quick work of the wall over there, and reaches out a hand to reclaim it]

That can certainly be arranged.

[He sure loves his gadgets, and that response makes him damn happy. He'd look around at the rest of them to see what else he could find that would be fun to play with. Like a kid in a toy store.]

I 'preciate it. I'm sure it'll come in handy to know what time it is as well.

[lissatrinall]

[She gives a tight smile, as if she's heard that joke from Gar like a million times but is trying to be nice about it]

Very handy.

[Oh hey, look, grenades.]

[lightblindbadass]

[He chuckles at his own joke, though he was completely serious. He didn't own a watch.]

Hmm, these look real nice too. [He picks one up, examining it from every angle, though careful to keep his fingers away from the pin.]

It's a lachrymatory agent. [After a pause] A tear gas grenade. Part of our non-lethal array.

[He turns it in his hands, then picks a different one up and examines it like the first. Genuine curiosity tinges his voice.]

Do you make these yourself, or with others? Or do you just come up with the technical aspect of them?

[lissatrinall]

I oversee their design, but the general assembly is done by others.

That's pretty badass. Maybe I could talk you into custom designing a few things for me sometime?

[lissatrinall]

Did you have something specific in mind?

[lightblindbadass]

I was thinking something along the lines of new eye-gear. Something that has a flash-resistance to it, or a filtered shade adjustment for different hues of light. I'd try my hand at it but I'm not too sure the knowledge I have of mechanics would apply in this time.

[lissatrinall]

Is that all? [Said as if this were the simplest request of all time] That wouldn't take long.

[lightblindbadass]

[He smirks at her smart-ass tone. So she wanted to show off? He liked it. He looked around for a few moments more, thinking.]

What about custom made melee weapons? Once I check out the armory, if I don't find anything I like, I could draw up the designs for a weapon I really like. It'd be kinda nice to carry around my blades if they're more easily concealed, and easier to get to.

[lissatrinall]

Like with something spring loaded, for instance?

[lightblindbadass]

[He makes a rumbly noise of agreement.]

Exactly.

[lissatrinall]

Child's play. We'll have something for you soon.

[lightblindbadass]

[He considers her a moment, his jaw working to the side. He couldn't think of anything else he might want at the moment, but-

And then inspiration struck. He grinned.]

Okay. You've got me about stumped. Except... [He pauses, weighing his choice of words.]

What about transportation? If I got myself something and I wanted it modified, think you could handle it?

[lissatrinall]

Car? Cycle? Jetplane? [Yes, these are serious questions.]

[lightblindbadass]

[Gosh, she just makes this so hard on his happy little heart.]

How bout all three? Course, I haven't driven any of the vehicles from this time but they can't be any more difficult than flying something bigger than the Hunter-Gratzna. [He says this so flippantly, like anyone should be able to fly a spaceship bigger than two football fields in length.]

Think maybe I'll start out with a cycle.

Think I could write that off as a mission expense? I need it to get around you know. [Smirk ensuing.]
