May I ask what your previous line of work was, or is that sensitive?

I was a thief.

[she's not ashamed of it. She's fairly convinced no one here would turn her in.]

Jewels, artwork -- expensive stuff that wouldn't ruin someone's life if it was gone.

Does that mean you stole for sport or was there something else at play?

Oh, no. Aside from it being my job, I was supporting family.

Sort of? I'm a foster kid, but there was this group of Shadowkind where I was growing up. They kind of took me in, so I give back.

Why did you choose to leave them?

Bigger, more regular pay check. Better resources. I still give back when I can.
