[She pauses as she remembers it. It had been a little bit of a shock to her, though she understood his reasoning well enough.]

Basically, the short version? The bad guys got into an elevator. Sir Bancroft cut the cables. And the elevator fell.

[He's failing to see the issue there. But he'll keep that to himself and take another sip from the glass of wine they were sharing.]

It sounds as though his methods are efficient, if nothing else.

It was just...sudden. I get what he was trying to do. I just don't think I could make that kind of decision.

Maybe that's why he's the Dragon's Claw. Making the tough decisions.

Perhaps. Though that may be what Wynn saw in you to begin with. From what I've been able to gather, he seems to seek out diversity among his knights.

He glances to the glass of red wine she's holding, which is nearly empty now that they're both passing it between them.]

Shall I fetch us another? [Nevermind that he was supposed to be on desk duty here.]

[She raises a brow at him, smirking. He's supposed to be working, after all. But he probably doesn't want to let her know where he's supplying himself.]

Sure, but I'm not answering the phone for you.
