I'm sure there's some weird Latin word for plant that starts with a D that I haven't learned yet. Any -- [ And the phone rings. Dawn pauses to lift the receiver, hold it up to three seconds, and hang it up. ] Anywho. Aside from plant troubles, what's up?

[Making a face that roughly translates to 'oh watch me', Violet threads her fingers together and stretches her arms above her head. She gives her neck a quick circle of a stretch as her arms lower. Then she grabs her elbow with her opposite hand and shifts her shoulders slightly. The next second she is very goofily licking her own elbow. Yeah, turns out that her shoulder occasionally popping in an out of socket is pretty handy for a party trick. (Dex 20 total.)]

Boom.

Also, you know Latin? [She is intrigued -- not enough to mention it before her display of flexibility, but still intrigued.]

I stand totally corrected. And I think my shoulders hurt just watching you.

[ She nods, shifting to sit on the edge of the desk. ]

Yeah, it's one of the languages I'm fluent in.

Oh my gosh, me too! We can be weird dead language speaking nerds together! Except... I'm a little bit of a moron so I don't think I meet nerd requirements.

[Letting go of her arm, it swings down and she grabs the hem of her tank top to wipe her elbow.]

You're not a moron. [ Her tone is chiding. You're cool, Vi, morons aren't cool. ] Pretty much all the languages I know aside from English are dead languages.

[She shrugs, not willing to debate her smarts.]

I just know English and Latin. I could probably sort out romance languages, but I'm not the best at school.

You don't have to be! I taught myself the languages I know.

[She doesn't look convinced but... benefit of the doubt, she'll give it to epic scissor weilding Sir Dawn.]

How about this? We pick a language and learn it together. We're in Europe, there's plenty of languages that would be useful.

[Most dubious of faces. Maybe they can just learn orally, like that Rosetta Stone stuff.]

Well. Okay. But fair warning I am prone to quitting out of frustration. Pretty much sums up college for me right there.
