The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I don't know how much you keep up on this kind of stuff, but... the Finnick/Rafael Giovanni concert? [ pop culture 15+ will have heard of it by now since it's advertised fucking everywhere on tv and in magazines ]

[Stunningly perfect time to crit fail. The one pop culture reference that eludes her is:]Finnick? Like Finnick Finnick? [Her arm shoots out in the general direction of... somewhere over there.] That Finnick?

[And then:] Although I would totally see him in concert.

I see you've met our little bronzed god. [ well intentioned eye roll ] He's the one. Chiseled jaw and all. We sort of turned him into a giant pop star to keep this record company from falling into the hands of some psycho religious extremists who want to use the company to spread diabolical evil... somehow. [ le shrug ] It's a thing.

Oh. Finnick's just a pop star. No biggie. [She recognizes this is not the point and she moves on, perhaps a bit sullen.]

So what, like subliminal messages? Super creeptastic.

Maybe. We're still banging out the details, seeing as how our original mission was to find some super powerful talisman that gives people immortality and it led us to them. Not really sure how all the dots connect yet.

That sounds ridiculously weird. I mentioned I am totally in, right?

Awesome. I'll make sure Wynn's down with it, but he kinda loves me, so I'm sure he'll say yes.

I'm used to sir without a name attached. Or, you know, using it completely condescendingly. Which would probably be frowned upon .

Depends on who you're talking to. We do all pretty universally call Wynn 'sir' though. Sarcasm-free.

Uh, no? I kind of across the board fail at that sort of thing. Like it is really sad and shouldn't be witnessed because it's like a wildlife documentary where they have to watch the baby bird die.

For your sake... yep that makes it sound worse than a pop quiz. [Although, really, Violet Fiore, you told a half dragon that you punched a dragon in the face, education would probably be really, really smart. She is just really, really bad at actively studying.] Anything specific I should look at?
