[After convincing Wynn she was needed in Chicago to assist Finnick and the rest of the group, Francesca tracks Christos down to fill him in. But tbh its mostly just because she likes his face and wants to say goodbye.

So wherever she finds him, she politely makes her presence known and greets him with a little smile.]

Right. [ and even if he doesn't use that excuse, she has another one. ] I can keep you updated on my progress, too, if you'd like.

[ it feels strange to leave out the real reason she's going, even if she doesn't need to share it with him. but she wouldn't want him to think she was purposefully keeping it from him. ] I'm going because Finnick asked me to help him. The rest was just... an excuse, really, to make sure Wynn would let me leave for such an extended period of time.

Finnick? [ displeasure darts across his features for the briefest span of a moment ] Our resident teen idol? [ it's pretty clear from the derision there what he makes of finnick's 'undercover' lifestyle ]

He's not too fond of that title either, apparently, and needs help getting out of it. All this recent attention is sure to only add to the difficulty of the situation.

I don't think he'd be opposed to anything that would actually work, at this point. But I would never do something so drastic, so I wouldn't expect him to be okay with it either.

[ thanks for the pep talk, buddy. she's not exactly sure how this conversation took a turn for the worst but she's going to ignore his attempts to be dismissive. mostly because this is not a good note to leave on for an indeterminate (but probably long) time. ] I don't know why Finnick being involved suddenly changes everything, but if you have any other suggestions, I'm all ears. Especially because I have no idea what we're going to do.

Fame is easy to lose, all but impossible to shake. It seems a lost cause to me.

I'm not just going to leave him to the wolves. He is a fellow Knight, you know. And a friend. [ While her words are bolstered with conviction, she still doesn't sound angry, or even agitated. Just frustrated with the situation, I guess. ]

You've known him rather a short time to consider him a friend, haven't you? [ well, by their definition of time ]

He considers me a friend, which is more important anyway.

We have a lot in common, and I think he needs someone who understands him right now. He has lots of friends, even a girlfriend, but he specifically called me. It would be quite insensitive to deny his request.

... Well. Either way, I don't have any advice for you. There's a reason people like you and I are sensible enough to keep a low profile.

I hope I can do this without jeopardizing that. I do have a fairly remarkable appearance. [ she means because she's a drow. mostly. its a joke, ok. but just to emphasize the double entendre, she'll make it obvious with a charm check of 56. ]

[ though that's telling as well, because it's what he says EVERYTIME HE'S FLUSTERED AND STALLING FOR TIME ] I imagine that isn't something that could be easily compromised.

I found it curious, yes. Not really suspicious, as I doubt Luthir's up to anything nefarious. [ she's obviously joking, as she can barely get the words out through her amusement. i mean, luthir... suspicious? ] But, I'm sure I'll find out his motives soon enough. [ wink wink ]
