Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. Solace is already there, waiting patiently in a seat directly to the right of where Wynn usually sits.

[Phineas is happy to stir up his usual routine of studying and/or helping Lis'sa. Of course he's still running a bit late - though better than usual. He walks up to the door, while rummaging around for his key.]

...Gods damn it all. Where is it?

[He upends every pocket he's got - But no luck. He must have left it in his room.]

I guess... I'll just wait until someone else shows up? I can't be the last one...

[He plops down against the wall and pulls out his journal, and proceeds to read and make some notes.]

[ he's far from the last one. and eventually, he'd find a petite, attractive blonde with mischievous green eyes hovering over him, hands on her hips. she looks to be in her early twenties, and her features are almost elf-like, although there's something truly unique about them that's very difficult to pin down. ]

What's the magic word?

[Lissa is pretty sure she is late, so she is in a bit of a rush when she finally reaches the doors, cheeks flushed pink from the hurry and just having eaten. But she just manages to look charmingly endearing in her white sundress. (Charisma 19)]

Oh god, I'm so late. [A beat as she notices Phineas and Faith and she breaks into a smile.] At least I won't be only one.

[Meanwhile, Thoster's grown a little curious about where everyone is. He hasn't heard any of the commotion going on outside (listen 8) so when he goes and opens the door, he's surprised to find three people waiting.]

Well! Don't be shy- we don't bite... unless asked.

[thesleeper]

[Phineas looks at the two ladies outside the room, then to Thoster hanging in the doorway.]
I'm... actually quite content out here with these pretty ladies.

[A grin breaks across his face.]
I daresay you'd be hard-pressed to disagree, friend.

[Boys, you are precious and you've both made Lissa grin.]

I'd personally rather be inside. [Oh snap. Her smile remaining intact proves she is just teasing. But she gracefully moves past Thoster and into the room regardless.]

[And just like that, the wind was snatched from his sails...]

[He steps to the side, and motions for Faith to head in.]
...Ladies first.

[ which she does, all but skipping down the hall with excitement until she reaches the round table round, at which point she spins on her heel to wave back at the others, and then acknowledge sydney with a big grin ]

I'm Faith, by the way. Lots of new faces!

I'm Lissa. [Wow that is a lot of energy...]

[Sydney looks at her watch with a frown.]

Aren't you guys late?

[thesleeper]

Erm... Right. Sorry... One of those days. I'm Phineas.

[bluffcheck]

No one's late until the boss shows up, lass. You'll learn that quick. [Thoster claps a hand to Phineas' shoulder because hey- They know each other. But he's looking at the girls.] Thoster Chatwyn, and I must say Phineas and I are two very lucky bastards to be in such beautiful company.

It's not like they can start before we're all here anyway, so late's kinda of relative, right? [ she plops into a seat, as solace just line faces at all of you, what the hell did he do to deserve this crew ... ]

[Lissa has only been here for two weeks, okay, she reserves the right to get lost for a while longer, so she makes a little face in Sydney's direction, sitting down gracefully and smiling at Thoster's exuberance.]

If they started without us then I would say we were late.

[wynn]

[ what flawless timing, as the boss man enters in from the long hall as lissa sits. The look in his eye makes it seem as if he heard some of that, but he only looks mildly amused. ] If you'll all be seated, we might begin. [ and as an ooc note, ruvaen's mun will not be able to participate in this mission, so we'll be sticking with the slightly smaller group present! ]

[Thoster sat without a word, but his smile had returned a bit. Perhaps a mission was the distraction he needed.]

What've you got for us this time? [Alright so he couldn't stay silent for more than a few moments.]

[wynn]

A dinner party. [ he lets that sink in for a moment ] We've been asked to act as bodyguards for a minor celebrity who lives in the Old Money district of Massachusetts. She has reason to believe she's being stalked by an obsessive fan - who she believes is wielding Shadow abilities of some kind. She's determined for this party to proceed smoothly, and thinks it might be just what draws him out into action. That's where we'll come in.

[A dinner...party? Well, at first Sydney wonders why the need them, but as he continues, she grows more concerned.]

Are we just there to make sure her party isn't disturbed?

Who's this fan? What sort of abilities? And more importantly- will she let us partake in the festivities or are we just the hired help?

[Translation: Will they get to eat the expensive food????]

We think it's best for you all to pose as guests of the dinner party, so you'll need to come up with viable aliases for the evening. As for details on the fan in question, she was very hesitant to supply them, but said there were numerous letters left in her home, by someone who could easily bypass security without leaving a trace.

[bluffcheck]

Are you leaving the alias stuff up to us? [Because Thoster can come up with something... it's likely that no one else will like it. Well, maybe Phineas.]

[wynn]

[ he nods ] There's no need for them all to be connected, either, in order to avoid suspicion.

[bluffcheck]

What suspicion? Say Phineas and I are up and coming international music sensations and the lovely ladies here just happen to be our back up dancers? We'd be remiss to leave such beauties behind during the dinner party of the century, after all...

[He finally notices Solace. Oh. Him.]

And you! You can be the group manager. [He grins, so clearly pleased with himself right now.]

[A grin slowly splays across Phineas's face.]

I think that Thoster's on to something, here...
