ORIENTATION ♔ playing the role with nerves left exposed
WHO || Kadir Yassin, Jimmy Novak, open if people want to bang into them, just threadjack wherever.
WHAT || Kadir meets with his squire
WHERE || Knight's HQ, Dragon's Hoard laboratory
WHEN || July 21st, morning
HOW || Actionspam
[ some mentor knights like to give their squires a little space before contacting them to begin training - after all, the castle's huge, there's a lot to explore, and just getting the feel of the place down can take months. jimmy's knight is one of these, so it takes a couple of weeks before he asks jimmy to come meet him in the dragon's hoard lab: easily recognizable by the big 'biohazard' labelled doors in the main hallway. entering reveals a multi-storied library, smaller than the castle library but full of strange models suspended from the ceilings, etc.
kadir sits at a table on the balcony, reading away. it'll take a spot check roll of 15 or higher to notice him up there... ]

He's still sporting the same too-big suit and tie combo that he had when he'd originally been scouted. He doesn't look very intimidating with his haphazard and tired outfit, in fact it's opposite. His clothes just radiate how awkward he's feeling on the inside right now. At least they won't start this thing off on secrets. Everything happens for a reason, he has to remind himself.
When he gets to the lab he waits outside of it for a while, but when his mentor doesn't come around he decides to explore it for himself. Keeping his hands in his pockets so he won't have the urge to touch anything.]

[He pulls his hand out of his pocket and extends it to the other man for a good firm shake.]
You already know me. Jimmy.

[Or so he thinks. Jimmy retrieves his hand and slips it back into his jacket pocket.]
Nice to meet you.

I'd rather have a man around who questions things.

[He doesn't have doubts about that. It might be cocky to assume, but he's all about saving people.]
I just have my doubts. Last time I entered into an agreement about helping people it didn't really work out in my favor.

[There's a wry smile.]
I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time together so... rain check.

[Obviously he was green and he didn't want to be forever.]

You have any combat experience?

[He's starting to feel like he's less suited for this job than he thought.]
No, but I can take a beating.
