Took some classes at the local community college while I was still in high school way back, the rest I learned on the job. [He looks at her with interest.] What about you? Or is this kind of thing common knowledge where you're from?

That's the only thing I remember about him.

[He's heard a lot about people losing memories on their way here. There's some things he'd rather forget, but he's not sure he'd want to risk losing everything. That had to suck.]

Sounds like a pretty awesome guy, though.

That's the feeling I get when I try to remember him. [ shrug ] I'd trade the awesome vibe for some actual memories though.

Maybe they'll figure out some way to get some of 'em back. Technology is changing all the time.

I think that would depend on the memory.

Maybe. But I have some shitty memories, just like everyone else, but I still think it would suck to lose them.

Sorry, I just feel bad for you guys that get dragged here and have to deal with that.

I lived on a lot of different worlds. It was hard to really consider anywhere home, I think.

Yeah, I get that. Space travel or not, you move around a lot and home ends up being a hard place to pin down.
