[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of this month.  Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

[Faye just rolls her eyes and enjoys the wind in her hair and the exquisite sensation of leaving the castle. Banter can be saved for once they have new make up and freshly manicured nails.]

[Driving relaxes her so by the time they get into London proper she is pretty zen. The shopping is fun, between them they could probably get the entire castle to smell like delicious. But Lila insists they stop for chips before the manicures so she doesn't get salt on her nails.

She brandishes a french fry at Faye as she shoves her bags in the trunk.] Literally the only decent thing England possesses is chips and a lower drinking age.

[Faye doesn't mind the stop for fries. She refuses to call them 'chips' though. It's not really patriotism. It's just stubbornness. Instead of getting her own, she'll just take a few from Lila, thanks. While she nibbles on one, she tilts her head, as if debating the statement.]

I'd include the credit limit on there, but I think that's more Wynn than England.

[It's proof of their friendship that Lila doesn't shoot her for stealing her fries, but it's a very fine line and has more to do with Lila's good mood.]

I do love Wynn's credit cards. [My preciousssss.] I guess it's just our salary though... [Her nose wrinkles slightly. No she doesn't want to imagine spending her own money when she could be spending someone else's.] Whatever.

It's only a salary if there's an allowance. [She digs in her purse and produces the card.] This? We could always try to see how much we need to use it before it melts.

An island. I think if we tried to buy an island of a small country Wynn would try to ground us. Eric would probably implode.

My stupid mentor. [She rolls her eyes like ugh gross stupid face.]

What's wrong with him? [Faye has no doubt that the guy sucks. She sides with Lila just on principle.]

He's just such a... [She waves a french fry around, struggling to come up with the correct word to describe Sir Eric Carpenter.] Douche. [Her nose wrinkles.] He is the definition of straight-laced, it's gross. He's my "rule book".

How irritating. [Faye's disgusted face basically sums up her feelings on that matter.] At least Nessa doesn't seem as concerned with how things should be done. Hardly makes up for the fact that she's trying to kill two birds with one stone to give joint lessons with her other squire.

Oooh, the plot thickens. Do tell me about this other squire.

Diana Meade. [It may as well be an insult for the way Faye says it.] There's just... something about her that makes me just want to- [She cuts herself off, but man that look in her eyes is pretty clear.]

Goody two shoes little brat.

Ooh, yeah I met her. Psychotically chipper. She's one of those people that find the good in everything, isn't she? [Gross.]

Exactly. [Bless you, Lila for understanding how terrible this is.] If Nessa thinks I'm going to learn anything from the princess of purity, she's got another thing coming.

That's so weird. What can she even do that you can learn from? [She can understand Faye learning from Gold, but some teenager? That's weird. And Lila is a teenager who is knows the full scope of her powers, so Lila finding that weird is telling.]

How am I supposed to know? I may have to petition Wynn for an official mentor switch. Gold is way more useful. Nessa can just keep herself busy with goody two shoes or something.

Yeah, Sydney said something along those lines too. [Not that Lila would, she actually appreciates Eric's bitchiness in her life, loser, but it's nice to know.] You should go for it. And at least if Wynn says no, you'll still have backhanded her dignity a little.

Yeah, but what if she refuses to promote me? [It's almost like Faye cares about being a knight. Almost.]

[Shrug, she's so helpful.] Then you're fucked.

[Faye huffs but... Lil'a right. Damn it.]

I guess I'll have to come up with a plan B then.

You know, I don't think she can actually stop you. Especially if you have Gold on your side. [She shoves the last fry in her mouth and crumbles up the paper wrapper into a ball, tossing it into a nearby trash with surprising ease. (Dex 16) She played sports once upon a time.] I mean, you get reports from your missions, if you keep getting good ones and she still does shit, Wynn is bound to notice. [She, at least, is 100% sure Eric won't hold her back from graduating as it were.] So just get good... I don't know, good grades or whatever and to hell with what she says. Prove you're well rounded and she'll have no choice but to promote you.

[She shrugs, but whether or not it's because she believes Faye (sense motive 20 total says she doesn't) or because she just doesn't give a fuck is up in the air.]

It's gonna be lame if miss goody two shoes gets knighted before you do...
