On one hand, I don't blame him. On the other, we were pretty much boned either way. Covert ops ain't this team's style. Especially when the worst member of the team is a covert operative.

I don't think we could even attempt covert considering part of the mission was shoving Finnick into stardom. [She shrugs like what are y'gonna do? and grabs an apple from the basket on the reception desk.]

I could. I talked myself out of getting arrested. I can bullshit my way out of anything. [He shrugs, grabbing an apple as well, because, hey, food. He chomps down on it and speaks with half his mouth full.] But I ain't a part of this team. Fluffy and I are just caught up in this mess.

Probably needs the company, I guess. I know why I'd keep you around, but. [She shrugs, rolling her apple around in her hands.] I doubt I could sway you with fleet week and my glowing company. I'm not all that stellar at the sell, pretty sure Jade said she'd think about it to shut me up.

[She nods gravely like he is making such good points. The reality that if there was running it would have been her running (possibly screaming) face first into Hell, of a fashion, she doubts is lost on either of them.] Yeah, I'd want to hang out with me too, gosh I'm such good company. [omg Uncle Jesse stahp. She bats his hand away goodnaturedly, as is instinct.] I dunno, Archer's pretty damn confident. I think you might be able to take a few days off. Maybe a long weekend, a long weekend and a couple days off, we'll just throw Burt in the room.

Archer's only confident 'cause his brain is too small to process anything bigger than bravado. I'm confident, because I don't give a shit. Burt's got chutzpah, so long as Myri doesn't scare him under a table. I'll gladly let him fill in. [Sliiding into the elevator.]
