[ the pendergast manor is a sprawling sight, impressive even to those who live in the world's most ridiculously sized castle. the whole place has a sort of country club air, and white gloved butlers escort the little troupe of knights through the halls, past expensive paintings and all the other old money trappings. ]

[Thoster beams at Lissa she joins them, offering his other arm to her if she'll take it.]

I haven't. [ But her nav roll was 19 so I guess rich people just know the layouts of mansions because finding the kitchen is easy peasy. ] This is my first one. I've only been with the Knights for just over a month. [ Oh and she totally takes Thoster's other arm. P I M P ]

[As Lissa takes his arm, Thoster flashes her a quick smile. He turns back to Faith.] This is my third, actually. [Another glance to Lissa.] The works suits you, you know. You're a natural.

[Phineas eventually runs across the group, on his way to the Ballroom.]

Dearest! [He cries as he sees his "date" for the night, Lissa, arm-in-arm with Thoster...]
I'm so sorry I was away so long! Can you forgive me? [He drops to his knees.] Take me back! Please! I'll never leave your side, again!

[Though it seems like he's ridiculously overacting his 'role,' there's an odd sincerity in his voice. Also, during all of this it's easy to see that Phineas' tongue and teeth are discolored black. Google Image Search never fails to deliver.

[ faith makes this face at phineas for a moment... before coming to a brilliant conclusion. ] Oh my god, where did you get cupcakes? [ CLEARLY THAT IS FROSTING STAINING YOUR MOUTH, SHE KNOWS THAT LOOK ]

[Phineas looks flabbergasted, because he's a little fixated on Lissa at the moment, and part because that reference totally doesn't register with him...]

Cupca... Oh, that... thing. I found it. [Bluff... 21. He's just gonna pretend he knows what she's talking about. He doesn't stop starting entranced at Lissa the whole time, though.]

Phineas... I. [WHAT IS GOING ON? She looks between Thoster and Faith because this attention, she is not used it when she's not compelling someone. Gently she extracts her hand from Thoster's arm and crouches down to put her hand on Phineas' shoulder.] I...forgive you? Your mouth. It's black.

You do? Really?? [Tears well up in his eyes...] I'm... so happy...

[He stands up, and smiles a beaming and black smile.]

Oh! And yes, of course, my mouth... I should have guessed you'd notice, You know me so well, and you're just so smart...

It's like she says [He points absently toward Faith] I had a run-in with one of those things [Bluff 13. Day 2. I still do not know what a cupcake is. I fear they may be catching on...]

[Thoster is too distracted by Phineas' strange behavior and the lovely ladies at his arm to even notice the terrible lie (sense motive 11 ahaha).]

You feelin' alright, friend? Didn't hit your head while you were gone, did you?

[Phineas slowly tears his gaze away from Lissa...]

[Sensing the need to draw some attention away from his... well, not actually entirely uncharacteristic over-affection... but wanting to deflect some of these questions;]

I, uh, I've prepared some useful tricks for the evening! [He focuses for a moment, and conjures a dove in his hand.] See?
