WHO || Brantley River, Andrew Gatewood and open topossible victimsall.
WHAT || Brantley teaches Andrew how to flirt.
WHERE ||Bar
WHEN || Night, Sept 7th
HOW || actionspam or prose
At his mentor's request, Brantley immediately takes off to the bar. Dressed in a smart casual attire, he sits at the counter waiting for the arrival of his mentor. Though, in this case, he is the one who does the teaching.
The bar is already filled with a few number of patrons, chatting and sharing one's life memories with each other, but Brantley just sits there, lost in his thought. A bar was never a strange place for Brantley, but when someone goes through the same career path as his, the only friend you could share enjoyable drinks and exciting stories with is yourself.
He waits patiently as he enjoy the moment of peace in the dimly lit bar.

"I'll have a... beer." It's boring but safe. Even if he doesn't really like beer much.

She asks with a smile, leaning casually forward with her hands on the bar. Nevermind that this gives the boys a good view of the goods. Low cut shirts will do that no matter what you do when a girl has curves like she does.

But, with years' worth of life experience, he manages to regain his thought and makes a save without any further delay.(will 24)
"... a good choice." He smiles casually as if nothing has happened.

"Uh...b-bottle's fine." He says, addressing her chest.

She stands straight, grabs a bottle from the cooler, and flicks the cap off the bottle before she sets it in front of him.
"Here you go," she says, before she looks to the other. "So, diplomatic lessons in a bar-like setting. I bet I can guess where this is going." It is her specialty after all. "Anything I can do to help?"
no subject
"Well, Master Andrew, why don't we see what you can do? Try a few lines at our lovely bartender here, maybe." Still smiling, he sips his drink.
no subject
"Uh.. I mean... You want me to just..? Erm." He looks back over at Bo and smiles nervously. "...Come here often?" And his staggering charisma check of 5 reflects just how incredibly sad and awkward he is every damn day of his life.
no subject
Plenty of men, and women for that matter, had hit on Bo, though in most cases she was much better at it than they were.
She barely stifles a laugh at Andrew's terrible performance. Poor guy. "A couple nights a week. I guess you could say I like the ambiance."

"I didn't, uh- catch your name." He was trying to remember every slick hero from movies and tv shows. That's how he was supposed to act, right? "Unless I should just..." Nerves hit him in a hurry and he rushed the last if it under his breath. "callyoubeautiful."

She smiles. "I'm Bo. It's nice to meet you, Andrew was it?" No masters or titles for her. "And that's sweet of you, thanks."
And she proceeds to pour a nice tall shot of tequila for each of them, pulling out some limes. "You need to loosen up if you're going to actually practice, I think." Too stiff, too awkward. A little booze should make the words come a little easier, especially for a flirting newbie.

Before continuing, Brantley finishes his first drink. "Let's start with the basic. Compliments. You know what they say. Flattery will get you everywhere." And it's true for most cases. "You don't need to use rhyming lines or poetic metaphors. Just try to praise that person. Miss Bo, could you give us some tips? Maybe some examples, as well."
no subject
Y'know... except for the burning embarrassment and anxiety that he's feeling.
no subject
"Compliments are good, and definitely the best place to start. It doesn't really work in this instance, but offering to buy the girl a drink is also a good move."
She smiles, leaning forward again. "But really, the most important thing is confidence, and that can't necessarily be taught. That's where the practice comes in."
no subject
"Even for me, it didn't come naturally. It took years to build up. But the most important thing is to start and to commit." He then gives Andrew a strong slap in the back. "You can do it, okay?"
no subject
"I mean... be honest. What are the chances that someone like you would actually let someone like me take you out?"
no subject
Herself included, though she has a lot of help in the seduction department, though she leaves the succubus tricks at home on people she actually likes. That would be cheating...and it wouldn't be real.
She smiles and tilts her head. "Why don't you ask me properly and find out?"
no subject
If Andrew turns to him for any reason, he will just give him a head shake signaling 'go for it', without even saying a single word.
Other than that, he sits there attentively with the excited look of a soap opera fan who is waiting in front of a tv for the premiere episode of his favorite tv show.

"Would you like to have dinner with me sometime?" His smile is still a little crooked, because it's still nerve wracking as hell for him. But his tone is more even and he even manages to seem a bit more confident and charming (cha 15).
no subject
See, that was much better.
"I'd love to," she replies with a winning smile (cha/charm 28).
She lifts up her shot as if in toast, smiling between the both of them. "See, that wasn't so hard." She winks at Brantley. "You've got a quick learner on your hands. Or he has good teachers."
no subject
He follows Bo, raising his shot. "He is the smart one after all. But I guess I am a good teacher, aren't I?" Sensing the celebratory mood, he chuckles a joke.
no subject
"You're sure? Dinner. And you know it's with me, right?" He is absolutely floored by the notion, but his first instinct is to think its a joke. "Did he put you up to this?" He jerks a thumb in Brantley's direction.
no subject
"It's dinner, not marriage," she replies, chuckling. "Besides, it'll be fun." But she shakes her head. "Nope, we just met today too, right?" Besides, she doesn't need to be put up to something just to go out for one night. She's a girl who makes her own decisions, thank-you-very-much.

As charming as he is, Brantley never had much luck in a relationship. In fact, he have never been in a romantic relationship before. There were lots of casual ones, but never a romantic one.
"Be confidence in yourself, won't you? Don't take this wrong, but given the right conditions, even I would date you." Brantley tries to convinces him with a soft smile. (diplomacy 23)
no subject
"Fun, yeah. So... when are you free?" Because he literally does nothing with his life so his schedule is wide open.
