The murder the Knights are sent to investigate took place in an abandoned warehouse, near the largest highway in London. The aging and dilapidated structure is covered with graffiti and bits of rusting metal.

Squad cars and emergency vehicles have surrounded the building. Outside the main entrance, police officers are questioning a small crowd of people when the Knights arrive.

Fred parks the car, and looks across through the passenger window.

"Must be the place. Let's roll."

[ the punk stares at them for another long moment, before putting both hands to his face and sinking to his knees. he lets the gun drop, collapsing into a wreck of emotion as he starts shaking and crying. ]

Whoa, it's ok, man. Take a moment. You got a name?

[ through his shaking, he manages to get out: ] D-Desmond.

[Since he seems so anti-T-Diddle, she'll stay away, but she looks pretty miffed about it. She casually glances around to see if there are any other hints about the mysterious beast (spot 9).]

Hi Desmond! I'm Astrid. [she makes her best effort towards ... friendliness at the punk before turning back around to face the others and, quietly:] I bet he saw the [she makes a clawing motion with her hand] and that's why he's all ... [she winds her finger into a circle next to her temple.]

[ Fred nods an agreement with Astrid and her assessment, and says: ]

Are you the guy who called?

[ Desmond nods ]

"I know what we did was wrong - we... we took some lady's purse and were running for it and... shit, it... it came outta nowhere, swear to Christ. And Rico...

It tore him apart, and I couldn't do a fucking thing..."

[The more the guy calms down and actually talks to them, the less Faye has that itchy magic feeling. Part of her doesn't like that. She wants to chase that feeling and find out just what was at the edge of her memory. But she focuses on Desmond instead.]

What was it? What did you see?

[ Desmond grimaces, eyes dull as he recounts: ] "It... it was a monster. There were claws and... and pointy teeth and it had scales. I swear to fucking hell, it was probably a dragon or some shit like that!"

Like an actual dragon? Or just because it had scales?

[He's pretty sure a dragon wouldn't just...be able to disappear like that.]

Any idea if it's still in the building? Or where it went?

"I ... I didn't watch! I hid while it... while it finished chewing on him and then I... then I called the cops and didn't dare come out."

[ fred frowns and glances at the group, revealing the metal tag he'd found to the others, the one that reads 'Hilberger Tech-X 433.' ] We might have a place to start looking, at least.
