The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ aodhagán hisses companionably, whisking his tail up to smack andrew in the face before he leaps gracefully to the floor and heads to the door, looking back like why the fuck aren't you basic bitches moving? LET'S GO, PEOPLE. ]

You're emotionally abusive, you are. [ ella grumbles a little as she gets up, flipping off the cat. but she's getting chips so see if she really gives many a fucks. ]

[Andrew sputters to make sure that there's no fluffy fur in his mouth. But he should have expected that. With both the cat and Ella up and off the couch, Andrew can also get up and head for the garage.]

Physically, too, but he learned that from the best.

[AND THEN THEY GOT TO THE GARAGE. Grabbing the keys for one of the cars, Andrew unlocks it and gets in the driver's side. He waits for the other two to climb in before starting it up.]

Sort of want to eat my weight in chips. Sounds like a good life choice.

[And away they go! Andrew is a decent driver (drive 13) so fear not for your lives, darlings.]

[Andrew is not a moron and knows better than to make leprechaun jokes while he's driving. That's a great way to get them ditched off the side of the road.]

Could always use those spells on me. But that means putting up with me for a few hundred more years. There'd be plenty of chips, though.

[ yeah, ella is gonna stay in the car while he does the ordering because she can. and it's chilly and she probably forgot a coat like a dumbass. and the cat will cry. so, have at andrew. she shoos him. ] Go on then!

[Grumbling, he gets out and braves the cold to get a huge fucking pile of chips jfc. He's not even ashamed, though. And eventually he comes back and dumps a bag on Ella's lap, because she and the cat can be a shelf while he drives their asses back to the castle.]

Just don't eat them all before we get back. Mine are in there too.

I'm not gonna! [ she might, but she wills up the effort to look THOROUGHLY AFFRONTED at the insinuation. how dare you. ]

[Probably a pretty uneventful drive back to the castle, tbh. When they get back and settle back in the rec room, Andrew pipes up]
