The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Faye just shrugs.] Don't let that stop you. [She gives a wicked sort of grin but laughs.]

Okay okay- fine. So what do you need with Daddy Charming anyway?

[ she rolls her eyes, omg faye no. ]

Just to talk, that is sort of what friends do. [ did you know that, faye? ]

[Shut up! She has friends! Two of them, even!]

You just seemed kinda bummed out.

[ BECAUSE SHE MISSES HER BEST FRIEND AND HER DAD FIGURE IS VANISHED AND spirit makes her a little depressed. she should stop using it, but it's like a compulsion and she can't. ]

Just tired, I guess. You look downright chipper though. It's kind of creepy. [ she is smirking, it's a joke to deflect back to faye, yay! ]

As far as sects go, the Dragons's Fire seems pretty cool.

[She nods.]

Pretty much right after I got here, I figured it out. [That she could cast spells, set things on fire with her mind, etc.]

I can, as well. It's a little different than the magic here though. What can you do?

[Because she is predictable as fuck, Faye raises a hand and snaps her fingers to bring a flame to life. She's not even going to say anything. Speaks for itself tbh.]

[ fire! lissa's eyes widen as a smile lights up her pale face. her hand reaches out automatically, drawn to the flame for some reason she can't quite get a grasp on. she's probably gonna touch it... ] Oh!

[She keeps her hand still, eyebrow arching in amusement as the blonde's hand nears the little flame. It'll burn like any other fire. But Faye's not going to warn her against it. In fact, when Lissa's hand gets close enough, Faye's eyes flash and the flame leaps up to meet the skin.]

Oops.

[ ouch! she pulls her hand back slightly, lips curving into a pout. ] Turnabout? [ her mildly hurt hand goes back out, palm up, like she's asking faye to hold hands. ]

[She's not one to be scared of anything, least of all from someone that seems pretty harmless. She extinguishes the flame in her hand and reaches out towards Lissa's hand with a shrug.]

[ she takes faye's hand and gently manipulates a finger out as she brings it closer to her. quickly, she tugs faye forward, and with little warning, sinks a fang into the pad of her finger. the pain is brief before lissa's saliva delivers a jolt of endorphins that induces a moderate euphoric effect and lissa watches her carefully. she releases faye's finger after the briefest bite and then releases her hand. sharing is caring. ]

[At first, her eyes widen and mouth drops slightly. She thinks about shouting or shoving the girl away, but the endorphins kick in and instead all she does is gasp, eyelids fluttering shut. Before she can even make sense of that strange, nice feeling, it's gone and her hand is released. Stepping back, Faye examines her hand.]

So what are you?

Moroi. [ she smiles softly, pleased faye is reacting well. maybe she should bite everyone before she tells them. :| but she keeps watching the other girl, just in case. ] A living vampire.

[Unlike a certain pirate, Faye doesn't jump back or look panicked. She's still a little dazed, but she just looks a little confused. (will 15)]

Sounds like an oxymoron. [or an oxymoroi..........]

Doesn't it? [ she chuckles softly, reaching up to tuck her hair behind her ear before she holds out her hand for faye's again. ] May I demonstrate again, something different.

[After learning that someone is a vampire, you normally wouldn't them ... do things to you. But Faye isn't normal and the way Lissa made her feel a second ago? Well, she's intrigued, to put it lightly.]

...Okay. [She slips her hand back into Lissa's. Go big or go home, I guess.]

[ she only holds on for a moment, concentrating on pushing her spirit into faye. the small cut closes easily with a flow of warmth. (heal 19) lissa's jade green eyes brighten and even though the tiny healing will effect her later, for now she smiles, soft and sweet. ] There.
