The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ it shouldn't make lissa feel warm and fuzzy, the other woman is probably just trying to be kind. but she doesn't have rose and she needs to find people to stick together with. ] I'd like that.

Did a lot of people come in with you?

A few, but I haven't seen them since then. [ so, you know, it's pretty much just her. ]

[She shakes her head.]

I don't remember who came in with me.

It seems easy to lose people around here. [ CHARMING. ]

Yeah, that's a little disconcerting. I mean, I understand given the number of knights we have, but you wouldn't think it would happen so quickly.

I suppose many of them are just sent on missions rather quickly. [ lissa sure was. but then... she came back. so. ]

Mine was pretty quick, all things considered. But my friend has been stuck on one for months, so I guess mine can't exactly be used as a rule of thumb.

[Her eyes widen a bit.]

I wonder what's so special about hers then.

[ she shrugs, disappointed she can't really answer that question. ] I guess some are just much, much longer than most.

I guess so. Guess we really do have to be prepared for anything.

I would hate to be away so long. [ she doesn't want to be away from her friiiiiiiiends. though, to be fair, it would probably be nice to be away from rose and know she's alone in her own head for once. ] But I guess if it was needed of me, I would do it.

Hopefully you won't have to. There are all kinds of missions going out every day.

That's true. I am itching to go out again. [ apprehensive, yes, but still. she yearns for adventure or something equally dramatic. ]

Actually... no thank you. [ she smiles softly. ] I need to talk to someone, if you'll excuse me.
