The "afterparty" is the real main event of the night at every squiring, but tonight's party is a little different than usual - Faith has successfully lobbied (as in roped people into helping her decorate for) a Chinese New Year's party, or Lunar New Year, theme.  With Knights from all over the world, it was easy to get input from those who traditionally celebrate the holiday, and Wynn is all about the spirit of cultural unity.  Not to mention, the second of the 15 days of the spring festival is all about spending time with one's family and friends.  

The lavish, opulent ballroom has been transformed, filled with red lanterns, peach blossoms, kumquat plants, and chrysanthemums.    People are encouraged to dress in red to ward off evil spirits and bad luck, and avail themselves of the New Year's Cake, golden champagne cocktail, rice pudding, candied fruits, and the Tray of Togetherness.

As always, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).
The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Pan should have the good sense to feel self conscious about that, about the OBVIOUS JUDGING of his totally cool outfit, but he doesn't. He's a boy without shame, okay. Still, he doesn't see the harm in her offer-- worst case scenario, he comes out of this looking even sillier which, since we've established that he has no shame, isn't really a problem. He tilts his head as if in thought, then nods.]

All right, then. Why not?

C'mon. [And she leads him out to the dressing room area where they have some clothes for the fashionably challenged. Faye doesn't even hesitate to walk into the men's area. Fuck it, tbh. Immediately, she starts pulling out button up shirts and holding them up to eyeball the measurement. There's not chatting, no smiling or flirting. She's just fixing his mistakes. She settles on a red dress shirt with a black vest. Something like this. She shoves an outfit at him and points to the curtained off changing area.]

Go. [Such a great first impression, huh?]

[What, that's it? No banter? Just shoving an outfit at him without ceremony and sending him away to change? Pan gives her a slightly perplexed look, then shrugs.]

Well, since you're so insistent...

[And so he goes. He changes his clothes. Since he gets a disguise check of 7, he manages to dress himself, but fails to tuck in his shirt. A minor faux pas compared to how he was dressed before. He steps out of the dressing area and holds his arms out.]

How do I look?

God, you're hopeless. [She laughs when he emerges, stepping in close to tuck his shirt in and adjust the clothes so that he looks presentable. Luckily for him, she's really good at this (disguise 19).]

There. [Grabbing him by the shoulders, she spins him towards a mirror nearby, looking rather smug just behind him.]

[Well hello, you're getting all up in his personal space, Faye. Not that he particularly minds, it's just... unexpected. Pan allows her to maneuver him around, and once he catches sight of himself in the mirror, he's somewhat. Well. Fixated.

He looks good. He usually made an effort to dress as best he could in this world, but resources being as limited as they were, he'd never tried a combination quite like this before. Pan just smirks at the mirror, moving his head just so, so that he can observe himself from different angles.

YOU'VE CREATED A MONSTER, FAYE.]

[She lets him make eyes at himself for a little while but eventually rolls her eyes.]

Come on, pretty boy. Lets let everyone else get a look at you too.

[She grabs his shoulder and pulls him back out towards the party.]
