Look this is technically the third date so if she feels like putting out....

No, that's not Andrew's thought process at all. If he thought about that, he would drive off the damn road.

"Wouldn't be so bad. I like doing this stuff. Most girls wouldn't appreciate a laptop as a Valentine's Day present." You're so cool, Bo. Hearts in his eyes when he looks at you, sigh.

Honey, she would have put out on the first date if she thought that was a good idea. Or if he was just interested in that.

"Most girls are idiots." Deja vu back to another conversation. Her mouth curls up in a knowing girl as she glanced over at him again. Technological shinies are just as good as flowers and chocolate, okay?

"Well, just glad you're not, because otherwise you might not like the place we're going. I've been meaning to check it out for a while now. You like Japanese food right?" Probably questions you should ask your date before you are... driving them to the restaurant??? Whoops.

"I like food in general. I can't say I'm too well versed in Japanese, so you'll have to give me some tips."

She's usually a pizza and ice scream kind of girl, but she's nothing if not adventurous.

"I think it's got one of those grills where they cook it all in front of you? And sushi. Sushi is good." He is pretty confident that she'll like it. "If it's rubbish, we can get a pizza to bring back to the castle, though." There. Bases covered.

"You look great. Did I say that. I meant to say that."

"I'm sure it'll be wonderful," she replies, covering his hand with hers and they drive down the road. She's not particularly concerned about the food, and being that she's not exactly a picky eater (with the normal kind of food anyway), she's sure she'll find something she'll like.

"Thank you. You're looking quite dashing yourself."

She's not about to point out that he didn't say it specifically til now, because the way he grins is proof enough tbh.

He should be more used to her touch but wow he sure isn't. He'll just be internally doing cartwheels over her touching his hand because Andrew is actually a 12 year old girl when it comes to dating.

"Might ask you to say that sometime where someone else can hear it." He says, half joking. "Never had much of a reason to try to clean up. Pretty sure half the people at the castle think I don't know what a suit is." But he has a reason now. It's not exactly that he's trying to impress her, but she's so amazing and beautiful that he feels like it's only right to try to look half as good.

"Anytime you'd like." And she's...totally not joking. He could use a bit of a self-esteem boost, and she's happy to provide.

"Well, I've seen you in a suit, and you knew how to wear it. Though you could probably use a new one."

Since those...harpies kind of did a number on it...

"Yeah, that was the only one I had, too. Thanks for that... again." He's a bit embarrassed about getting sucked into a harpy's nest. "I found this jacket in the back of my closet. Just glad that it still fit." He really just... says whatever is on his mind.

"Speaking of that night, uhm- Remember the other thing we talked about? You being a succubus and all that? So I was doing some research and I just want you to know that you don't need to keep a human form for my benefit." Oh boy, this is gonna be good.

"You don't need to thank me. Just doing my duty, right?" She winks. "Besides, now I have an excuse to drag you shopping." Not that his jacket wasn't nice, but it probably wouldn't do for a squiring party.

She blinks a few time, looking over at him really confused. "I'm sorry, what?" No really, she must have heard him wrong because, um, yeah...

Pulling up to a red light, Andrew gives her a reassuring smile. Okay, so maybe he could have found a better way to talk about this, but he really wanted to make sure that she knew he was okay with it.

"You don't need to worry about keeping up appearances with me. I mean... don't get me wrong. This is a really great appearance. But it must be hard to hide your wings right?"

This would probably be the wrong reaction for any other person but...Bo just busts out laughing.

"Oh my god, you think I have wings?" She holds up a hand, shaking her head. Just...give her a moment. "Let me guess, I'm strategically hiding horns in my hair, too."

He looks really confused now.

"Look." Grabbing his phone, he pulls the search back up because he has it bookmarked. Handing it over to her (oh my god he gave we his phone), he starts to drive again when the light turns green. "I really don't care but you don't need to lie about it."

"So you googled me? And believed it?"

Okay, kind of not impressed. You should really just believe her, Andrew.

"Look, if I had wings? I think I would know. And I've sure as hell never seen them. I'm not even from this world, so why would you think everything about me would be the same?"

"I don't... I mean it's not like these are from this world either! Shadowkind are from all over but the drakenet is pretty all inclusive. Or... I thought it was..." The light turns green and he starts to drive again. "I was just trying to find out more about you. That's all."

"You could have just asked me." Now she feels a little bad, but she's still kind of peeved and just flustered by the whole thing. "I didn't exactly withhold information when I talked to you about it before."

She exhales deeply, going into more detail. "Look, I found out I was a succubus literally a week before I showed up here in this version of the world. The rest of my history from before that? I don't remember a lick of it. I had to figure out everyone myself, because everything I read didn't seem to line up all the way."

"If..." He glances at her, obviously debating if he should continue that sentence, but just decides he's already kind of fucked, so he might as well just go for it. "If you only found out a week before you got here... How do you know this stuff isn't true..?" It seems like a valid question to him, at least.

Her mouth opens to reply, only to close shortly afterward. She looks away briefly, out the window, as the tension in her shoulders release, and she kind of...deflates.

"I guess I...don't. I guess I just thought it would have happened by now."

She glances back over, frowning, though it's at herself at this point, not at him.

Well, shit. He didn't really mean for this to happen. Slipping his phone back into his pocket, Andrew decides to take a chance and reaches over to take her hand in his.

"M'sorry. I thought it might be good to try to learn more on my own, but I didn't mean to make you mad. Last thing I wanted, actually. But if you're pissed and want to just forget about dinner, I'll understand."

She relaxes a bit as he takes her hand, and she manages a smile as she shakes her head and looks back over.

"No way. If you read all that crazy stuff and still wanted to go out with me? Hey, most guys would have run for the hills or avoided me like the plague or thought of me as some sort of conquest and peaced out a long time ago."

She gives his hand a squeeze. "Besides, maybe I'm just scared. Maybe it's good that you checked these things out. You should know that I'm dangerous."

"Hey, that's not-" He tries to glance between her and the road, suddenly pissed at himself for starting this while driving. Luckily, he's turning into the parking lot now so he can get them parked before he continues.

"I trust you, alright? I mean all that stuff on the drakenet makes it out like you'd just want to feed on me and be done with it. You could have done that in the bar without ever going out with me, yeah? So unless you're just playing with your food? Pretty sure that's not what's going on here."

"No, it's not. But that doesn't change the fact that to most people, I'm a monster."

She may not remember being 18, killing her first boyfriend, having her mother throw her out of the house and call her a devil. But she remembers killing that guy who was going to roofie Kenzi. And maybe she'd been going after shitty people when she got hungry because she had to kill someone and better she pick a sick twisted asshole than some innocent person when she lost control.

But she still killed people. And she's guessing there were a lot of bodies in her past. There were plenty in this world too, before she found other supernaturals and eventually the knights and learned what the hell she was doing.

"I'm doing what I can to deal with that, to make up for the times I've messed up, but the truth is I don't know even half of what I should about myself. For all I know, I'm half this and half something else, since it doesn't all match up. I know enough to know I never met my parents."

He just listens, takes it in, and thinks about what he wants to say next. Unfortunately, trying to sort his thoughts might come off as hesitation.

"I really like you." Wow, that was totally worth the anticipation. He rushes to fill in the questions he's sure she'll have. "And not just because you're gorgeous and you can kick my ass at air hockey. Those things help, sure, but... You make me feel- Good. And I haven't felt like that in a really long time." He's not really explaining this well at all.

"I want to do that for you. I want you to feel good and I want to be part of that. Because you're not a monster. And I don't think you're dangerous. You just might need some lessons in control? But that describes half the supernatural bastards that join up with the knights. But whatever you are? Whatever your parents were? I'm glad. Because I wouldn't change a single thing about you, Bo. Not one."

Wow, it is really good that he parked this car, because after that speech? There isn't really even anything she can say that will come anywhere close to that.

So she does the one thing she knows how to do best.

Bo leans over across the dash of the car to pretty forcefully press her lips against his, her hand slipping between his legs so that she can...reach for the metal bar below the seat and slide it back away from the steering wheel.

Guess what, Andrew, you have a succubus about to climb into your lap.

The moment she kisses him, Andrew freezes, not expecting that at all. And when he feels her hand move between his legs, he nearly passes out until he realizes that she's just shifting the seat back.

Wait. She's moving the seat back?!

The sound he makes when she shifts onto his lap is not manly at all. It's basically a whimper while he just prays that she will keep kissing him. Jesus she is going to kill him.
