Formerly a two story barn, the bar Lila rented for Faye's birthday has an Art Deco theme that continues through the building, with each space having been given a contemporary twist. The lavish interiors create a feeling of forgotten decadence. Each room has its own distinct and unique ambience, all complementing one another yet reflecting different moods, depending on the feeling of the moment, flowing through to the secluded garden.

The man at the door has been notified to waive the cover charge for anyone that comes bearing a gift, but if you don't come bearing gifts... don't expect Lila to feel pity for you. You're paying that cover charge yourself, en-fucking-joy, you soulless, non-gifting-bearing bastard. (This was mentioned in the invites she sent out to all the ladies in the castle. It's possible that it's literally all the ladies in the castle as Lila doesn't care whether they're friends with Faye or not. No boys got invites unless they were verbal. The dress code of "fancy but down to fuck" was also on the invitations...)

Tucked in the back is a partitioned off banquet for the VIP party and once inside the ropes, you get a stamp on your hand so the drinks are free for the rest of the night -- and the drink of the night is a Bailey's Comet. Because it's on fire. Drink, enjoy, be merry. Do things. Save room for the cake.

And if anyone is worried about a bunch of drunk knights trying to drive home, Lila rented a handful of rooms at a nearby hotel because when she plans shit, she plans it well.

No. Try none, actually. Most of my training time has been spent in the shooting range and even then I try to get around the all out physical combat.

[She knows that's not an excuse for avoiding hand-to-hand, but it's something.]

Been thinking about it more lately. Just haven't gotten around to finding the right teacher.

[Her eyebrows climb a bit and she shifts, straightening a little more.]

I spend a lot of time training newbies. And my squire spends a lot of time trying to get out of training.

Isn't that a little counter-intuitive for her? Ducking out of the training she should be having.

[She says as though she isn't doing the same thing herself.]

Wellll, combat's not actually her area of expertise. She's got plenty of other skills, and she'd rather spend her time polishing them up. [ like leveling in candy crush. i mean... doctor... stuff. ]

Combat isn't mine either. I tend to prefer to be sneaky, but I see your point.

There's nothing wrong with preferring a different approach. It's just that so much of what we do involves us getting in over our heads that I'd rather she had the training for the one time in twenty where she needs it, you know.

[She nods a bit in agreement.]

Oh yeah? [ he flicks the bottle cap in his hand on the table, watching it spin ] What happened?

[She makes a bit of a face, before taking a sip of her own drink.]

[She doesn't say anything. She just keeps grimacing before raising her hand. Yep. Her. She would be the one.]

No. I got lucky. From what I saw of them, it could have been much, much worse.

Pretty much. And the party was for a friend, so I'd be remiss if I didn't at least make an appearance.

Well, as close as you can get with Faye. I'm not Level Lila, but I consider her a good friend.

I don't really know Lila that well. She put this all together, right?

They're super close. Sometimes it feels like they're practically sisters.
