The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Adam's just sort of lounging. He didn't really bother to get all gussied up outside of taking off dat armor following the squiring ceremony (disguise 13). Instead, he managed to secure himself some choice seating for the purpose of people watching.

Or, not watching, if y'all don't turn out to be all that interesting. At least the drinks are free. I still have to upload this bitch's icons, so I apologize in advance.]

[Kate has given up on the way her hair feels down and has swept it back into a nice looking bun at this point. The working theory is if it's off her shoulders it will stop bothering her.

Let's see if it actually works.

She eventually wanders in the direction of Adam's seating with her drink, settling down next to him before glancing over with a small smile.]

It's Adam right?

[She extends a hand to him.]

Hi, Kate. [He will even shake her hand.] So does the welcome wagon always go over the top like this?

A lot of drinking, a lot of ... crazy, to be honest. The missions are definitely interesting.

Drinking, I'm okay with. Crazy ... really depends on how crazy we're talking.

And interesting can mean a whole lot of things. Are we talking taking out a Colombian drug lord interesting or Habitat for Humanity interesting?

Depends on the mission. My first mission was a tangle with the Italian mob, but I've heard of others with things like ghouls an dinosaurs. It really depends on where you're being sent.

But with the way things are going here, I might be all partied out by the time it even starts. [That would be a 'polite' way of saying this party blows so why the fuck would I want to trek my ass to another one afterward, ftr.]

And yeah, it was pretty bad. I mean, I practically faceplanted right in front of that Wynn guy. [Except he didn't. But he's good at selling it like it actually happened (bluff 18).]
