The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

He just smiled a nice smile and nodded.] Don't worry, I will only call you Ella. And it's Mars, please. I hate Marshall, it sounds like an old person's name. So, That would make you the knight I am to work under?

Yes, that's me! You're my very first squire, Mars, so I'm sure to fuck it up. But it'll be awesome either way. [ she's irish, okay, they like catastrophes. ] You're like a giant. How tall are you?

[ He looked a bit more pleased if that was even possible.] What's life without some awesome fuck ups! That just means more fun to be had. [ He rubbed at the back of his hair when she mentioned his height.] Without these shoes? Six foot two, these give me an inch or so more.

[ she whistles. ] Holy shit. That's proper tall. You're two feet taller then me! [ literally. tiny person problems, yo. ]

I could keep growing over the next couple years too. My dad was six four, and most guys can grow up to twenty five. Not that I want too, I am already the enemy of many doorways. But hey, I can get things off tall shelves for you and I wont ever make fun of your height.

I guess if you ever want anything from a wee shelf I could oblige. Might need a step ladder to talk to you though.
