The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Don't mind if I do. [ they go to alex's room WHEEEE. he doesn't have a room assignment but i have horrible luck of the draw so i'm just assuming he got something ugly. (now that i've put this in a tag he'll get a nice room.)]

[ gus gives it a cursory glance full of how much he doesn't give any semblance of a fuck. ] Nice. [ is it though? is it? yeah, still doesn't care. because hey now look at that they found themselves some privacy. ] Mind reminding me whereabouts we were...?

I think we were right [he grabs at gus's tie...] about [and pulls him in close...] here. [and goes in for a kiss while his hands wander their way down to gus's pants and begin pulling them off.]

[ looks like a good place to be, he starts to work on alex's shirt. T E A M W O R K. and multitasking. this is a beautiful moment of multitasking. ]

[so much multitask. when they've got each other's clothes off, he pushes gus down onto the bed. i rolled to make sure he had lube (and condoms) in his room ok and apparently he did. always prepared, ok. IT'S GOING DOWN I'M YELLING TIMBERRRRR ♪

For one thing — I'm no longer part of the under-thirty crowd. Sad, but true. [he stretches out, putting his hands behind his head.] If you need proof, I threw out my back at the last party I attended a few days ago. I'm officially too old for fun.

[ he chuckles, though he is surprised because alex doesn't look like he's over thirty. ] Guess we can't do this again, if you're too old for fun...

[he's only thirty so it's TECHNICALLY BARELY REALLY but alex does love to be melodramatic about this particular subject.] This is a completely different kind of fun. And it didn't happen in a bar bathroom.

Oh, definitely. [as he sits up, he starts to feel ... oh, what's that? blood coming out of his nose? of course it is. why is he even surprised. at least he got to get laid before blowback boomeranged around. he'll just cover his nose with one hand while looking around for his pants...]

[ he covers it up, but gus' spot check of 25 means he... fucking sees it regardless. ] You're bleeding... [ that's interesting? he holds up a hand, like hi. ] Want me to take care of that?

[he looks a little skeptical, but hey, what the hell. it beats having to walk all the way to those shared restrooms.] Uh, sure. If you want. [slowly lowering his hand now. his nosebleed has escalated quickly, in that way that nosebleeds do.]

[ he tugs his underwear on and puts a knee back on the bed, leaning over to put his hand against alex's neck. using his awesome druid skillz he heals alex (cure light wounds + 12 hp). pretty sure that'll stop a nose bleed, but idk, damn it, jim. i'm a druid, not a cleric. ] You good?

I think so. [he wipes the remainder of the blood away with his forearm — so classy.] Thanks. Is that magic, or...?

[ w/e it's hot. ] Yeah. [ he backs off to continue dressing like it ain't no thang, pulling his pants on, leaving them undone so he won't have to struggle with tucking his shirt in. once he... finds it. ] Occasionally it comes in handy. I have a bear.

[now that he's no longer bleeding, he can continue the quest for his own clothes. is this his shirt — oh no, it's gus's. he tosses it over.] What, like a literal bear? [THEY JUST HAD GAY SEX OK HE'S PRESUMING HE'S GAY THIS NEEDS FURTHER CLARIFICATION.]

[ he catches the shirt with a smirk. (ref save 16) he has fielded this question before. ] Literal bear. Came with the magic. She lives in the woods out back.

That's crazy. [he finds his own shirt and starts to put it back on.] You appreciate the irony, right?
