The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

I guess. As long as everyone's learning to use what they've got. But don't ... sorcerers -- [ she makes no secret of how weird that is to say. ] -- have to learn magic, too?

Well, yeah, but they spend all their time memorizing how to do that shit on the fly. It's different for them, because they like, have magic in their blood.

Emma Swan. I'm ... pretty new, all things considered. [ she ... thinks. a year seems new here. ] Which I guess you probably realized.

[ kat makes a face ] I remember that dude. Doesn't he have a crocodile? ... You should tell him to pay Archer a visit.

That's a question no one wants an answer to, if you can avoid it.

In which case, pass. Probably better for everyone involved if that door wasn't opened. [ rumplestiltskin is not known for his patience (which is ironic really since the guy spent 300 years waiting to find his son). ]

Did you see that big concert on the news last year? He was the guy from the Knights who shotgunned a guy in the face on TV.

That was your mission? [ she raises her eyebrows. ] I heard you guys have been gone, like, two years.

Yep. Wacky how time flies.

Things got a little more complicated than we were expected. Evil cults, asshole record executives, psycho gods, you know how it goes.

We're not really done, but we were just staying in Chicago for our friend's trial.

That's right - I heard he got off. That's gotta be good news, right?

Depends on how you look at it, I guess. He escaped jail and the crazy house, but he's sort of trapped in a contract with Satan.

It's a close race, really. But I guess figuratively.

Satan got a name? I'd like to add him right under Archer on my list of men to avoid.

Burt Becksworth. Somehow the alliteration just contributes to the sleaze factor. [ it probably only takes a knowledge (pop culture) check of like... 12 to have heard of him, ok ]
