The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[He scowls.] Believe me, that much, I don't do. We tell each other everything, except for, oh, anything that comes up when the others aren't around.

It's not the specifics. [And there are so many to go through if she doesn't even know about his headache issue.] It's the way no one seems to share until it's already too late. For our own good, of course. Or someone's own good.

[He shrugs.] Not sure, really. But whenever I try and hit a human, my head explodes in pain. It's been pretty inconvenient.

Whenever you hit a human? [ she almost seems to go pale at the implications.] And you've no idea why?

There's something in my head. Saw it when I took a little trip with Martha to get my head scanned. But we haven't had time to really look into it more than that.

That doesn't seem the sort of thing one should put off, darling. [ she side eyes him as they walk, as if trying to conceal her concern. ]

Well, it's not like it's slowed me down, much. [He has TONS of hit points.]

Yet. What do you call that little display out there? That's hardly what you want happening when you're facing down the villains.

That's never happened before. Not like that.

Oh, well that's promising.

[Spike scowls.] I got pretty close to getting your toes a few times. Practically an attack.

I guess we'll just have to invest in dancing lessons for you.

You could teach me. If you don't mind the danger to your toes.
