The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ he purses his lips in annoyance. ] Trying not to fuck up is the best thing you can do right now. You've been a squire for an hour, don't get cocky. If you need me, check the woods. Watch out for the bear.

Fine! I'll try not to get high and burn down the castle. And you don't need to worry, this cocky squire can at least take down a bear or two.

Look. [ he lowers his voice slightly. ]I don't know why the fuck Wynn assigned you as my squire, but he has his reasons and they're generally good ones. So no matter that I don't adhere to your physical standards of what your mentor should look like, I'm it. I've been here for over ten years, you've been here for less as many days. Now you can use that experience to learn from me, when I have time to teach you, which I don't right now, or you can keep up with the machismo act and spend the rest of your life as a squire. I am in charge of promoting you. When I say don't fuck up, I'm not being dismissive, I'm telling you to be fucking safe so you survive to when I can orient you. Got it? [ diplomacy nat 20, 26 total. ] The bear is mine. Don't touch her.
