The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[ the newest member of the knighthood looks like... a very hairy gnome, what do you want from him (disguise 11). he's not gonna wear a fancy suit, sorry. he's at least less smelly and dirty these days, now that he's not living in a cage full of goblin filth, so there's that.

he's also hella short, so... you might have to seek him out to find him. ]

[ he was very sad to learn she wasn't a princess ok. but it's become a running gag, he has a good sense of humor for a guy who was in prison for a year. so he'll give her a sweeping (tiny) bow. ] Your Highness is too kind.

Promising. Found some more Sternshields lurking about, though I've had less luck locating any Timbers. The Church supported my joining up with you lot. Seemed a perfect opportunity to serve the Ironhand.

[Max's attention is focused on his Gameboy, so he doesn't really see Erky down there. But Erky might see that Max is walking toward him and probably going to kick him without even noticing. So, watch out, Erky!]

[ yeah erky totally misses his approach, so the big dude slams right into him with his foot, and he nearly goes sprawling, letting out a yelp. ] Ay, watch where you're walking, friend!

Huh! [He takes a moment to process. Did he just kick something? He scans the area near his feet.] Oh, hey, sorry, brother. Didn't quite see you down there. [Yeah, they're squire-brother. He squats down, so they can talk on the same eye level.]

Not the first time in my life it's happened. [ oh well. ] Briggard, was it?

Uhuh! But call me Max. Don't need to get formal with me. [Which you can see from his choice of garments.] You're Erky, right? Nice to be working with you, pal.

[Max has never been to a high-class party like this, he is more into drink-till-you're-drunk kind of party. He arrives in a very bizarre combo of wife beater shirt and a boxer short. Well technically, he doesn't have any kind of formal wear, so you can blame his wardrobe (disguise nat 1 total 0). At least he has enough muscle to pull it off. He is currently standing in a corner, playing his Gameboy Color and trying to beat Pokemon Yellow in the hardcore Nuzlocke Challenge mode. He is in a good mood after beating the 8th Gym Leader, so you can bug him without getting bitten.]

gus does not look happy as he approaches his new squire. hot as hell with his disguise nat 20, but so not looking forward to this.
