Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

[ vi shifts nervously, worrying her bouquet between her fingers. she's not even nervous about the wedding, she is nervous about the walking. SHE IS OBVIOUSLY NOT GOOD AT THE WALKING. but she's barefoot, so maybe that will help. ] Okay, Myri. You go first. [ yep. gonna hyperventilate. she reaches out to adjust myri's flowers before lurching forward to grab her in a brief hug. ] Okay, I know I said go and then hugged you, but this time I mean go.

[witchwoman]

[Where Vi is a bundle of nerves, Myri seems excessively calm. She's learned that it's the best way to balance Vi out, or at least to try. The hug takes her a little by surprise.]

I'm going to go. But I need you to breathe. It's alright.

[And then she walks WITH RING IN HAND BECAUSE SHE DID NOT FORGET IT. Entering the room to see all of their friends waiting is a bit overwhelming. She hopes that Vi sees how much she is loved. She gives a warm smile to the familiar faces, making her way up to the front. When she reaches her spot at the front, she re-focus on the aisle, awaiting Vi to emerge.]

Psh, I'm totally breathing. See, breathing, existing. I'm a fucking champ. [ hahaha she's gonna pass out. deep breaths, deep breaths. she looks over to her left and holds out her free hand. ] Don't let me fall, okay? Please do not let me fall. That is your job.

[finnick takes her hand bc SURPRISE HE'S WALKING HER DOWN THE AISLE BITCHES.] Don't worry, I would never. I'll carry you up there if I have to.

That would be so dramatic... [ which sounds just like she's suddenly thinking about it. but she reins it in somehow. finnick is not going to dramatically carry her down the aisle. ] Okay, let's do this. [ with a firm nod, she squeezes his hand and off they trot. and she doesn't fall. it's a christmas miracle. and/or her surf god adonis best friend keeping her upright. or both. we just don't know.

when she looks up to see luthir, her footing falters and she clings a little tighter to finnick. he... may have a broken hand by the time they make it to the front. and if you've never seen vi anxious before, the cascade of wildflowers sprouting in the grass around her may come as a surprise.

BUT THEY MAKE IT TO THE END. sans falling. on a bed of wildflowers. almost as dramatic as being carried. ] Oh. I did it.

[it's ok, he got a good fort save. his hand is fine. probably. and if it's not he's not gonna ruin vi's special day by crying out in pain. X(] You did. [and he gives her a quick hug before taking a step aside.]

[ like a little deer in headlights, vi wavers where finnick left her. hey luthir. hi. over there. where she is not. because she's having a minor panic attack at the moment.

no, fuck that. fuck bad dreams. no cold feet. she takes the last few steps forward toward luthir. ] Hi. Fancy meeting you here.

[ hahahahahaha let's take a moment to appreciate that luthir looks

like no he rolled a 5, he can't stop starin', it's adorable. he manages to find his voice at least, and gives her a private, warm smile. ]

[ once she's near luthir, she visibly relaxes, tension draining from her shoulders and her fingers unclenching from around the bouquet. oh, wait, she's supposed to not have that now. whoops. she leans back to pass it over to myri to hold. very important maid of honor duties = holding things. DO YOU HAVE THE RING, MYRI????

she shrugs though, like she's completely unconcerned (no really, the ring. do you have it.) and grins at her elf. ] Yeeeah, I sort of dragged you here. Can we get married now? Let's get married now.

[ wynn's got dis shit. with a fond look at them both, he clasps his hands together, b/c wynn don't need no notes. ]

We gather here today to celebrate the union of two of our own - Luthir Reedhym and Violet Fiore - whose journey has been neither simple nor without obstacles.

Yet, for whatever perils they have faced together, there have been some aspects of the road they have taken which have been significantly less complicated. Luthir assures me that the love they have borne for one another has been one such steady source of comfort and light in the difficult days they have endured, something they have never had cause to question or doubt. It is that surety and faith which will carry them through whatever may come, and strengthen a bond of love that will last for the length of their lives.

We ask that the Seldarine bless this couple on this occasion: in particular, we beseech Corellon to guard their days and Sehanine to watch over their nights. [ he repeats the same in perfectly fluent Elvish, and luthir repeats the words as well. IDK IF VI WANTED TO but he did. if she wanted to get in on that, he's been teaching her elvish anyway. ]

[ vi does not get in on that. maybe if the lady of dreams did things like idk KEEP CREEPS OUT OF HER DREAMS she would do the thing. but she is too bitter and too tired to bother. to the point where her nose wrinkles in slight annoyance at her name because vi is a petty child. god, get on with it wynn. get to the "okay you're married now" part. she's really excited for that part. it's a good part. get to the good part. super impatient demigod over here. ]

Have you prepared any vows you wish to exchange?

...no. [ she looks at luthir like you totally did, didn't you? ] Wait! Yes. Yes I did. Just a second. [ because first... jsyk: ] I can hear you so shut up. [ who is she talking about? who knows. but her listen check was a 36. so maybe it's all of you. ]

Okay. Vows. [ she takes another deep breath and takes luthir's hands. ]

Ever since I was young I never understood anything about the world, and I never understood anything that happened in my life. The only thing that ever made sense to me was you, and how I felt about you. That’s all I’ve ever known and that’s enough, that’s enough for me, for the rest of my life.

[ the woman you're marrying just quoted a tgif tv show. this is your life, luthir. ]

[ like he could ever make that pop culture check. instead he smiles and assumes ALL THOSE WORDS ARE DIRECTLY FROM HER HEART AND BRAIN. and gives her some of his own, squeezing her hands. ]

You have never been anything I expected, Helillóte, and I hope nothing more than for you to continue to bring these surprises into my life, for as long as it shall be. I had felt so certain that I knew the course before me until you changed it entirely, and now I see that the duty and honor I will set above all else is to bring you happiness, to provide you strength, and to protect you from those who would bring you harm.

[ oh that was really sweet. she's going to dissolve in a puddle of feels and probably tears. well, definitely tears. she blinks, licking her lips, and quickly reaches up with one hand to sweep the tears off her cheeks. ]

No fair, that was super sweet. I hate you.

Amin mela lle. [ yeah. eat that. but he'll reach over to wipe gently at her tears too with a smile. ]

And this is why you never taught me to say "I hate you" in elvish. [ CHEATING. her face scrunches up in a smile as she looks up at wynn. what's next? ]

If any here know of a reason these two should not be wed, let them speak now, or forever hold their peace.

[ she doesn't look away from luthir, but vi does add her two cents. ] If anyone so much as breathes loudly right now I will personally disembowel you with a spoon.

[ and at that point... a figure approaches the back row of chairs and the timing is enough to draw wynn's eyes that way, along with the rest of the guests', most likely. they all find themselves staring at a very well put together rafael (disguise 21), who looks over them with a sheepish expression as he seems to realize what is happening at this exact moment.

in his adorable italian accent, he waves a hand apologetically and says: ]

Mi dispiace. My flight... it was very late. [ and he looks around for an open spot omg such embarrass halp please don't disembowel him ]

[ ...OF ALL THE PEOPLE. that's the only one that could survive her threat tbh. she shakes her head in good natured exasperation. ] Your seat is next to Buffy.

[wynn]

[ as rafael goes to quietly sliiiide into that seat with a small smile at buffy that says 'whoops', wynn focuses back on the couple in front of him with a smile. ] Do you have the rings?

[ glancing back at myri, vi holds out her hand. THIS IS YOUR MOMENT TO SHINE MYRILANDEL. hand 'em over. ]

[Oh no! She must have lost them somewhere between here and-

Just kidding.

Myri carefully tucks her smaller bouquet under her arm so that she can hold Vi's larger on in one hand and reach into the pocket of her dress (because it's one of those cute ones with pockets. I just decided). Turning her hand palm up, her fingers slowly uncurl to reveal both rings. See? She's got this.]

[ there is a genuine sigh of relief as she plucks them from myri's palm and passes hers to luthir to hold. she fixated on that one thing going wrong so she wouldn't think about everything else. myri is a great ring bearer. should've had a little pillow. ] Got 'em, boss.
