Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

So they're marrying for love. That's sweet. [ he may not sound like it, but he means it. it's just weird because he was 99% sure luthir didn't know what women were. ]

Not everybody gets that. [ yeah mark is pulling out the kleenex ok. HE HAS EMOTIONS ] I think it's great.

[ shifting almost completely around in his seat, gus reaches back to pat mark's knee and make meaningful eye contact. ] Need a hug, Mark?

[ you laugh but he crit failed so he literally

leans forward

and gives gus a big old hug ] I'm just so happy for them, you know?

[ oh mark, you little lamb. precious little lamb. gus pats him fondly. ] Yeah, it's a joyous occasion.

[ Just shakes her head as she sits next to them. Boys. ]

I can't take you anywhere, can I?

It's nice to see someone get their happy ending, at least.

Settle down with me, Mark. [ ahahahhahahahahah no don't do it run away. ] I'll be your happy ending. [ gus stahp. ]

You never really struck me as the 'settling down' type, Gus.

Maybe I was just waiting for the right person. [ or maybe mark is 100% correct. ]

I-I-I don't really think you've found him here.

[ he sets his eyes on mark and his lips twitch in a smile. (cha 19) this is so not paying attention to the wedding. especially as he reaches back to brush at the wetness on mark's cheeks with his thumb. ] Might have.

[ mark affords him a grateful smile, but waves a hand to indicate he's fine ] You're a sweet guy, Gus. If sweet guys - or uh, guys in general - did it for me, you'd be top of the list.

Never know 'til you try. [ BUT LOOK AT HIM GIVING IT A REST. idk maybe he realized that there's a wedding going on. who knows. ]
