Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

... The way he is looking at her, perhaps someone must remind him of this.

[ she pulls her head back to fix him with a perplexed look like seriously ??? ]

I didn't realize you were the expert on yearning gazes.

[romanticidal]

I did not claim to be. But you must remember, that I am from Italia. [ he waves a hand. doesn't that explain everything. ]

[slay]

[ what. this isn't lady and the tramp. ]

And we know these things. [ yeah, that's what you're getting, oh so smugly. because now he's busy looking for more gossip and he sure sees des and his boyfriend over there. ] Is that--

[ yes, yes it is. he looks a little surprised that they are all so cuddly on the dance floor, but then he smiles sort of sadly. ] It seems he has found a way to move forward after all. [ he said, as if buffy had been present at his convo with des at the bar that night. or maybe he's talking out loud dramatically to himself. who knows. ]

[slay]

Just as long as it's not right in front of you, huh?

[ he's lucky he pointed out des and zarad. instead of growing despondent that rafael is managing to literally focus on everything but the fact that maybe she's happy to see him, she remembers who she really needs to be talking to. there are more important things than her total lack of game. she drops rafael's hands, offering him a hasty smile. ]

I'll be right back. I have to borrow him for a minute.

[romanticidal]

[ he gets a weird look on his face for a moment, but then seems surprised by the abruptness of her departure and just nods, saying faintly: ] Si, I will... find you later then?

[ she slips off then to track des down. ]
