Now officially Knighted, Vi exchanges her ceremonial armor for a wedding gown, and the guests head into London to gather at the Chelsea Physic Garden.  The evening is warm and clear, and the flowers in full bloom, chairs set up on the main lawn with name tags on them for people to find their seat.  Gentle Elvish music plays everyone in, and at the front of stands an arbor covered in wisteria.  It's a remarkably peaceful setting, enough to dispel further some of the grimness of the past few days and create an atmosphere of smiles and warmth.    It seems to reinforce what Luthir has been telling Vi all along: that maybe now more than ever, this is the sort of thing they need, in order to remember what they're all fighting for.

[ snort. ] I have some severe hair jealousy. But I finally figured out that obsession guys have with playing with a girl's hair when she's going down. [ #no filter. ]

It's like playing Barbie hairdresser. With orgasms. [ idk why you want to hang out with her, alex. honestly. ]

[he makes a face at her like really????] I can tell you now that's not what most guys are thinking about. It's just something nice to hold on to.

[ she was kidding! ...a tiny bit. no, she wasn't. she shifts one of her arms so she can push her fingers through his hair, gripping it lightly before she lets go. ] I guess that appeal makes sense.

[he smiles and rolls his eyes.] Your attempts to create depth or ... something like it, I guess, are cute, though.

Thanks. [ her nose wrinkles, but she's the first to admit she's shallower than a puddle. ] I am pretty adorable. Thanks for coming, by the way.

Not a problem. If nothing else, it gets me out of desk duty.

I am very handy for that. It's my niche. [ sage nod. the song ends and she makes a face, but she steps back reluctantly after another kiss on his cheek. ] Alright, go back to your date.

If I must. [he scrunches his nose, but it's ok, he's not actually bothered. TIME 2 GO BACK.]
